I truly have a deep loathing for people who act like this crown prince. He's like a bystander who's watching a person drown. He knows there's a 50 50 chance they'll die, but he's banking on the off chance they'll live. He's fully capable of saving said person but as a bystander there's always another bystander, he's leaving it to them to notice and do something so he doesn't have to insert himself.

(I also know saving a drowning person is deadly to the savior as well. But what if this person was on a boat full of experienced divers! Not only that he has things he could throw into the water as well!)

Yea you could say he has his reasons but what is stopping him from doing a wellfair check? What's stopping him from planting a spy?
