Chapter 20 🔞
As Sophia struggled to steady her overheated body and silently renewed her resolve, Yudel calmly took a handkerchief from his pocket and wiped his fingers clean.
Then he spoke.
“We’ll leave it here for today. You’re going back to your room.”
“……”
“I’ve confirmed everything I needed to.”
Somehow, the vivid violet of Yudel’s eyes gleamed with an ominous light.
With Cain’s help, Sophia was finally untied from the chair, only to have restraints fastened onto her once again. They were heavy iron handcuffs and shackles, far thicker and more imposing than the ropes had ever been. The moment they locked into place, their weight made her body stagger instinctively. Even so, she couldn’t exactly complain.
After all, she had no one to blame but herself for ending up in them. It would have been stranger if they hadn’t taken extra precautions against someone who had attempted a midnight escape.
So she simply had to accept it: the thick chain connecting her wrists and ankles had been shortened to an almost unreasonable length, forcing her into tiny, shuffling steps whenever she walked. The chain snagged and dragged with every movement, making even the simplest step awkward.
‘If anything, I kind of like it. It almost feels as though I’ve really become someone’s property.’
The thought crossed Sophia’s mind as her bare feet touched the cold stone floor of the corridor. She found the weight of the restraints on her naked body oddly endearing. Cain’s long hours of “work” had left her utterly exhausted, her legs trembling as though they might give out beneath her at any moment, but even that didn’t feel particularly unpleasant.
Besides, she found herself rather enjoying the furtive glances cast her way as she walked down the corridor.
She crept forward at the pace of a crawling grub, her exposed body left completely uncovered. The demons’ eyes followed her without restraint, sweeping over her stiffened nxxples, the moisture that continued to trickle between her thighs, and the whip-torn skin of her legs, still glistening with her own arousal.
Every gaze that settled on her sent a sharp thrill tightening deep in her belly.
Unfortunately, not one of them laid a hand on her.
‘If only one of them would pretend to brush past me and secretly grab my *ss while Yudel wasn’t looking…’
Ever since leaving the interrogation room, her body had been desperate for more stimulation. Right now, she felt as though a single hard squeeze of her backside would be enough to send her over the edge.
So each time a demon walked past, she cast them a quietly pleading look. Yet every one of them merely clicked their tongues in regret before moving on, never once reaching out to touch her.
Sophia found their reactions disappointing, but she couldn’t really blame them. The demon currently holding her leash was simply too formidable.
‘Still, come on. Why are all these demons such cowards?’
Then again… it’s not like he’ll touch me, either.
She was glaring resentfully at the man’s back as he strode ahead with effortless poise, when, without warning, the slack in her collar snapped taut.
“Ah…!”
The sudden tug yanked Sophia forward before she could react. She stumbled helplessly after him, her feet breaking into several quick, tiny steps to keep herself from falling.
“Hah… hng…”
The abrupt burst of exertion left her panting. Catching her breath, Sophia shot Yudel a sharp glare. He merely tightened his grip on the leash as though her resentment amused him.
“Were you daydreaming? Why are you walking so slowly? At this rate, we won’t make it back to my room before midnight.”
“…”
Sophia stared back at him with a look that had a thousand objections written all over it. She knew perfectly well why they still hadn’t reached his room despite having left the interrogation chamber half an hour ago.
The moment they stepped outside, Yudel had deliberately passed by the bedroom located just across the hall and led her in the exact opposite direction instead. Then, as if on purpose, he spent the next half hour wandering in circles through the underground prison.
He had deliberately paraded Sophia’s naked body before the demons’ eyes, exposing her to their stares to humiliate her, while giving the drxg smeared over her sensitive flesh ample time to take effect, ensuring the overwhelming pleasure would keep her from slipping into restful sleep. This was his way of venting his anger over the prisoners she had helped escape.
Which made his complaint about her being slow all the more absurd. Whether his retaliation was agonizing or pleasurable was beside the point.
“Why are you looking at me like that? Do you think I’m wrong?”
“…”
This time, her silence was her answer. Yudel wasn’t merely wrong—he was spectacularly wrong.
He caught the defiance flickering in Sophia’s blue eyes and responded with an easy, faint smile. Rather than taking offense, he seemed to enjoy her resistance, almost as if he delighted in seeing her direct genuine emotion toward him.
“I haven’t said a single thing that’s incorrect. The only reason we haven’t reached my room yet is because of you. If you hadn’t been so preoccupied with indulging your arousal—if you’d spent less time stopping to sway your hips instead of walking—we would have arrived long ago.”
“…”
“If you’re going to blame someone, blame that lewd body of yours. Glowering at me won’t make your fault mine. You’d do well to remember that… if you want to survive in my hands for even a little longer.”
Though he phrased it like kindly advice, Sophia had no trouble recognizing it for what it really was: a threat masquerading as concern.
The violet eyes fixed on her were cold enough to pierce straight through her.
For an instant, the icy stare made her heart clench.
At the same time, her body tightened involuntarily, and warmth trickled down between her thighs. There was something about the razor-sharp look in Yudel’s eyes that terrified her—and, inexplicably, stirred her arousal all the same.
While Sophia stood there trembling silently, Yudel’s gaze drifted calmly over the lower half of her body.
Her bruised thighs, mottled with the marks of countless fingers, glistened with moisture. Between her legs, a small puddle had already formed, a plain testament to how aroused she was. Droplets trailed behind her as well, scattered across the floor. She had been worked up the entire time they walked.
“…What an obscenely responsive body.”
Yudel’s verdict was brief.
“I’m looking forward to seeing the face you make when I draw your essence.”
A slow smile curved across his lips. His eyes narrowed as they rested on Sophia, carrying the unmistakable look of a predator savoring the sight of particularly appetizing prey.
‘Just what is he planning to do to extract it to look at me like that?’
A chill ran down Sophia’s spine, but she couldn’t ask. All she knew for certain was that something far worse than anything she’d experienced so far awaited her.
