I spent ten years loving him alone, unrequited.
It didn’t matter that he was the heir to the head of an enemy house.
That was why I was happy even when I married him as though I were being sold off in a transaction between our houses.
Even though he still regarded me as the daughter of an enemy house.
Even though the bed we shared out of obligation once a month was the only time I could see him face-to-face.
It didn’t matter.
Not until our child died…
“Stay quietly in that room as though you do not exist. That will be more beneficial for you.”
Hating and resenting him for standing by and doing nothing about our child’s death, my despair, and my grief, I took my own life.
After that, I regressed countless times.
Determined never to become entangled with him, I fled the marriage arranged between our houses and married someone else.
But despite regressing countless times, I could not meet my beloved child, Denion.
And so came my eleventh regression.
Once again, I stood at the wedding ceremony where I would marry him.
“The bride, Juliana de Heister. Do you vow, upon the duty of House Heister, to love the man standing before you?”
“I do.”
No. There will be no love between us.
Because once I have my child from you, I will disappear.

“What are you doing right now?”
“Why? Isn’t tonight the night you kept going on about? Or now that you’ve achieved your goal, do you no longer need to sleep with me?”
His eyes were those of a beast that wanted to tear out my throat out.
This was better, actually.
It was a night we had to spend together, one way or another.
His brow furrowed viciously, he spat out the words in a badly hoarse voice.
“I’ll give you what you want.”
