Chapter 2
“I’m a good kisser. You can’t say anything else afterward…… you asshole, you have to take responsibility…….”
Can this even be called a kiss. It was a terrible peck, almost more of a headbutt.
The woman, who had been babbling like a puppy until the end, collapsed into Tae-geon’s arms like a marionette with its strings cut.
Reflexively catching her, Tae-geon looked back at Dong-woo in disbelief. Dong-woo was staring at them, wide-eyed in surprise.
Then he noticed the cut on Tae-geon’s lip and fumbled to point it out.
“Hey, hey, hey, you, you, you’re bleeding.”
“I know.”
Tae-geon, still holding the woman, irritably took out a handkerchief and rubbed his lips.
“Is she insane?”
Dong-woo muttered in exasperation. It wasn’t just that she had stolen the lips of the renowned Seong Tae-geon, now he was bleeding as well.
Dong-woo, shivering at the thought of such a bold woman, suddenly tilted his head and said, “Oh?”
“I think I know this woman. She’s that… actress from ‘Fruit Orchard Road.’”
“An actress?”
“Yeah. She’s not very famous, so I don’t know her name. Is she the one who was supposed to come to our gathering today? I heard one more person was coming.”
At that, Tae-geon’s gaze grew even colder.
If it was a woman who had planned to come today, she was definitely the type he didn’t want to associate with at all.
People desperate to find a sponsor, unable to distinguish between a blessing and a curse.
Looking at the innocent face of a woman who seemed completely out of place in that crowd made him feel even worse.
Tae-geon attempted to pass the woman off to Dong-woo and leave.
However, the woman clung desperately to the hem of his clothes and wouldn’t let go.
A deep furrow appeared on Tae-geon’s brow. Dong-woo’s expression grew even darker as he watched.
“What…… what did you do to her?”
Instead of answering, Tae-geon shot a cold glare at Dong-woo. Dong-woo flinched but bluntly retorted,
“If that’s not the case, then why is this woman crying so sadly?”
Tae-geon clicked his tongue and looked down at the woman.
For some reason, she was shedding tears. His shirt was already soaked through.
Indeed, why was she crying so pitifully?
“Seong Tae-geon…… Seong Tae-geon…… Seong Tae-geon…….”
She kept sobbing and calling his name.
Her lips, smeared with blood and stripped of lipstick, emitted fresh cries that stirred something primal within him.
He swore he had never seen this woman before. He could just pass her off to a staff member.
Yet, his body wouldn’t move.
This woman was calling my name and crying so heart-wrenchingly. And my chest was stirred by her cries.
Without knowing the reason, returning home felt like it would somehow keep me awake at night.
His eyes narrowed slightly in contemplation.

Yeong-won felt like she was trapped in a swamp. It felt as if she were buried in a grave. No matter how much she struggled, she couldn’t even move a finger.
“If you feel wronged, find someone to back you up. Isn’t it foolish to hope for a role in a dying agency like that?”
At the voice that echoed from somewhere, Yeong-won was engulfed in intense anger. She tried to retort, but no words came out.
On the boundary between dreams and reality, another voice could be heard.
“Is it someone you know that you took it from?”
“Yeah. She was like a thorn in my side, so I got rid of her. It’s a two-for-one deal. You should look for those kinds of girls too. Those without connections. They can’t even make a sound, so taking their spot is a piece of cake.”
“Is that so? Then I should find some useless girl to get rid of as well.”
The sound of laughter echoed back.
‘I won’t let this go. I won’t forgive.’
What does that mean to me?
As the voices that treated her like a rat gnawed at her, Yeong-won gritted her teeth and searched for a weapon.
She was going to beat them thoroughly.
Only then would she feel a little relief from this unjust and infuriating feeling.
Something caught in Yeong-won’s hands as she fumbled above her head.
