“What did he do when he was on top of you? Did he kiss you first? Or did he just start right away? Did he—”
She spoke as if she already knew the answer.
“You’re really disgusting.”
Yeong-won’s eyes flushed red with irritation.
“Stop pretending you hate it. Why do you always get things so easily, while I can never get what I want no matter how desperate I am?”
Chae-young muttered, almost as if sighing.
The things she could never have, Yeong-won always seemed to obtain with little effort.
She had thought she could at least push Yeong-won out of the film industry, thinking she wouldn’t have to see her again.
But here they were, entangled once more.
“What are you trying to say?”
Yeong-won glared at Chae-young, her breath ragged with frustration. Her eyes, now flushed red, contrasted beautifully with her dark brown irises.

Chae-young had never felt inferior to anyone in her life.

“I heard you disappeared with CEO Seong Tae-geon after the dinner party.”
“I don’t know what you’ve heard, but the CEO made sure I got home safely, and nothing happened.”
Yeong-won coldly dismissed her. Watching her, Chae-young’s laugh cut off abruptly.
“Really? I’ll take your word for it. If that’s true, then I’m glad to hear it.”
“I wish you wouldn’t think everything at your level.”
Yeong-won sighed deeply, as if exhausted, then added.
“Yu Chae-young. You don’t like me, and I don’t like you. But we still have to make this movie, right? Let’s not create reasons to argue.”
“That depends on what you do.”
“What do you expect me to do?”
“Stay away from CEO Seong Tae-geon.”
“There’s no reason for me to get involved with him.”
Yeong-won couldn’t believe she had to explain herself like this, but Chae-young persisted.
“How am I supposed to believe that? You always acted like you weren’t interested, yet kept doing things behind my back.”
“Yu Chae-young, if you keep pushing like this, you’ll make me want to get involved.”
Frustrated by Chae-young’s baseless accusations, Yeong-won began to feel a surge of malice rising within her.
“……What?”
“You’re so desperate that now you’re making me want to get involved with him. So stop provoking me. Didn’t you say I’m the type who seduces men? What would you do if I decided to seduce him just to mess with you?”
“You really—”
Chae-young took a step forward as if she was about to hit Yeong-won, but Yeong-won didn’t even blink, holding her gaze firmly.
She had always yielded to Chae-young. Even after losing so much, she tried to understand her.
But now, there was no need to anymore.
They weren’t friends anymore. In fact, it was disgusting to even consider her a friend.
So, Yeong-won finally said the words she had always wanted to say to Chae-young.
“Cut it out. It’s pathetic.”
As Chae-young’s face twisted in anger, Yeong-won walked out of the suffocating room.
The moment her foot stepped into the hallway, she exhaled the breath she’d been holding in from the tension.
Her legs were still shaking uncontrollably.
Because of that, Yeong-won didn’t notice her phone vibrating in her pocket.
