Maybe I was captivated by the clear smile that I had never seen around me. In the midst of my otherwise gloomy days, only Sun-woo sparkled.
With a gentle patter, like being trapped in a rain forest, we exchanged a few short words.
“Are you taking Professor Choi Dong-hoon’s class too?”

We stood side by side, sipping our banana milk through straws.
Sun-woo made an excuse that it was boring since there were no customers due to the heavy rain, while I had an excuse that I was stuck in the pouring rain.
I couldn’t figure out why my reflection in the glass was so bright. Why did I smell like soap? Why did I feel this warm and comfortable scent coming from a beta?

Until the headlights suddenly burst in through the rain-soaked window.

Gradually, the front of the car became visible. The amber headlights flashed noisily. It was a color you rarely saw even on the streets of Seoul.
The vehicle, which resembled a large feline beast, emitted light like its eyes shining in the darkness; it had been illegally modified.
I felt as if I had been lost in a midsummer night’s dream, and suddenly, I snapped back to reality.

Kang Yeol-jin had followed me. He had somehow made it all the way here.
