Chapter 35
“Hey, Hee-jae, that’s….”
His solid chest seems to stretch the black polo shirt, as if to tear it apart. The big breath he exhales and his tightly clenched strong jaw reveal how much patience he is being tested right now.
I looked up at him silently. I gripped the sturdy fabric tightly.
I am not the old, weak, powerless Jeong Hee-jae who fluttered like a fallen leaf anymore.
That guy is dead.
“No.”
He stops. I slowly pull away from him and take a step back. My backside touches the window where the curtain is drawn. I squeezed the fluttering curtain with the back of my hand.
“I want to draw. If I calmly organize my thoughts, all the memories will come back too.”
“You haven’t even settled down yet. How are you going to go to school in your pregnant state?”
Kang Yeol-jin approaches me little by little. He steps into the dark shadow where I am.
“The trash will probably talk behind your back.”
Don’t you remember? When your hit cycle burst at school before, how those damn bastards looked at you.
“Come here; it’s dirty over there.”
He pulls me closer again. The spotless glass window seems to be a filthy mire to me. What’s the problem with that? Am I still a delicate flower in a greenhouse, afraid of even a speck of dust?
“Do you still see me as a young master? Do I look like a young master who can’t even kill an ant?”
“Why would you kill an ant when I’m around?”
With my voice sharp and pointed, Ha-ha, Kang Yeol-jin loosens his lips and laughs, his chest heaving. The room fills with awkward laughter.
“This hand shouldn’t get stained with blood, Hee-jae. You should be holding a brush.”
He slowly kisses the back of my hand. Acting tender and pitiful, but he doesn’t easily come over. As if this is the line he has drawn for himself.
It’s okay to flap your wings in my embrace, but does that mean I shouldn’t step outside that boundary?
What should I do?
What weapons can I use now? I looked at the patterns on the floor and slowly traced up Kang Yeol-jin’s foot, calf, and solid thigh to his chest.
Then, something came to mind. As I slowly looked up at Kang Yeol-jin, I swallowed hard. The thick, prominent muscles on his neck bent sharply.
Blue veins stood out on his neck, and muscles pumped on his shoulders.
Am I feeling a s****l tension?
I slowly tightened my lower abdomen and released my pheromones. My pheromones smelled like cheap roses. A common, overly vulgar rose scent, particularly cheap among the rest.
‘You smell cheap.’
It was none other than Kang Yeol-jin who had told me that.
Because my background was low, my pheromones looked like that, and my father also loathed them deeply. If he ever caught me releasing pheromones outside by mistake, I would be locked in the attic that same day.
…Hee-jae.”
With a violent grip, he clutches my waist. My chest is drawn closer to Kang Yeol-jin. It presses against his solid, thick muscles, which have become noticeably heavy.
“What the hell are you doing right now?”
To meet his gaze, I had to rise on my toes for quite a while. That massive guy easily trapped me in his embrace. A low growl echoed from his throat. I didn’t shy away from that chaotic sound; instead, I stared into his fiercely burning eyes.
“I’m already going crazy over you, you know.”
The pungent smell of water emanating from him mixed with my cheap rose scent. The chaotic pheromones intertwined, creating a sticky aroma.
“Do you really want to see me lose my reason and go wild?”
Now, his large hand tightly grips my chin. I could feel his hot breath, as if our lips were about to touch. Does he want to kiss me?
“You said you wanted me.”
Softly, as I parted my lips and spat out each word, Kang Yeol-jin’s hot breath brushed against me.
‘You’re just dripping from that hole, huh? You filthy male prostitute, selling your body, you bastard child….’
On that day, when a chill lingered, a massive body attacked. Squeak, squeak. The guy who climbed onto the bed definitely tightened his grip around my neck without hesitation.
‘Gulp, cough, ugh….’
Back then, I struggled with all my might. Like a fish skewered by a spear, even with my miserable life, I flailed my limbs like a beggar who had his bowl taken away, desperately trying to cling to a pitiful existence.
‘Ugh, ugh!’
‘Die, die, damn it… Just seeing you makes it feel like bugs are crawling all over my body….’
