During this, I almost felt like crying when I saw the counselor’s shocked face.
“So, what were you planning, Rose?”
After what felt like an eternity, the man finally removed his lips from my ear, straightened up, and asked in a casual tone.
Meanwhile, the hand on my shoulder continued to exert a tight grip.
I had no choice.
“Just…”
“Just?”
“T-Trying to socialize with the counselor…?”
With a tearful answer, he finally smiled satisfactorily and patted my head.
“I see, Rose. Hello, Mrs. Phantom. I believe this is my first time introducing myself to you.”
“…Ah, yes. Hello, Lord Claude.”
The counselor received the greeting with a grim look.
And although he initiated the greeting, he seemed unbothered about the response to his words. He certainly appeared to have a twisted personality.
“My Rose is quite a handful… If I look away for even just a moment, she causes accidents here and there.”
“Well, it’s not really…”
“If something like this happens again, don’t hesitate to tell me immediately.”

He pretended to be considerate, but it was clear he possessed a rather peculiar temperament.
If I caused trouble again, he wouldn’t just stand by and do nothing!

Eventually, the counselor responded with a pale face.

“Get up, Rose.”
Claude, done with his business, spoke icily. I slowly stood up, looking at the counselor with a glimmer of hope.
Can you see this now? This guy is using his power and influence to threaten me, right?
If the counselor had even a trace of ethical consciousness as a counselor, wouldn’t it be her duty to report this unreasonable situation after we leave?
However, the counselor seemed to want to avoid interfering any further and subtly avoided my gaze.
All hope was lost.
Just then, a strong arm pulled me to my feet.
When I came back to my senses, I was already pressed against the man’s chest.
“Rose, you should look at me, right?”
He spoke with affection, but it couldn’t be anything other than a threat.
Only then did I squarely face the man I had been trying to avoid.
He had stunning jet-black hair and his features were as beautiful as a finely crafted work of art.

Just looking at his handsome face would make me forget all the suffering I had endured so far and become entranced.
Even though I had seen his face repeatedly over the past few weeks, I momentarily lost my composure and quickly averted my gaze.
“I told you to look at me.”
Ugh. Suppressing a groan, I reluctantly raised my eyes to meet his.
When our eyes locked, he finally lifted the corners of his lips in a smirk.
“That’s right, good girl.”
And then, he passionately pressed his lips against mine. I could hear the counselor gasping for breath in astonishment.
Uuugh, I’m going to die from embarrassment.
I closed my eyes tightly.
That’s right.
I am the object of obsession of the most powerful being in this universe, Claude Denhardt.
With an appearance that doesn’t seem to belong to this world, and the added status of an S-Class Esper who receives admiration from everyone.
But I am struggling fiercely to escape the clutches of this seemingly perfect man.
Why, you ask?
Because this is a game set in the so called ‘Guideverse’ with the title of The Guide Who’s the Salvation of Arteon.
In this world known as ‘Arteon,’ which is mentioned even in the game’s title, there are Espers with exceptional physical abilities and powers beyond ordinary humans, and there are ‘Guides’ who help them control their powers.
I happen to be an extra who got stuck in this guideverse game.
And this man is an S-Class Esper and the villainous mastermind in the original story who’s got absolutely nothing to do with me.
Not to mention, he’s got the hobby of beating up other people and manipulating them if they ever made the mistake of crossing him…!

Again. I died again.
“…This game is insane.”
I muttered, tossing the game controller aside.

It was a simulation game I decided to try because it was so talked about on SNS.
In this world, Arteon, monsters called ‘mutants’ had appeared at some point, threatening the safety and livelihoods of people.
Just when it seemed like humanity was on the brink of extinction, individuals with special abilities called ‘Espers’ emerged, much like heroes in movies.
They quickly became humanity’s only hope and were revered as heroes because they had the power to oppose the Mutants.
However, there was a problem.
Espers inevitably suffered side effects from their abilities.
These side effects ranged from minor headaches and body aches to severe disabilities or even death.
Amidst this, the only solution to alleviate these side effects was discovered: the ‘Guide’.
