He stayed silent for a moment, his lips moving as if to say something but then clamping shut again.

He laughed for a while, his shoulders shaking, and even shaking his head.

Even as I growled, baring my teeth, he wasn’t scared at all.

He laughed mockingly, finding it ridiculous.
Shaking his head, Claude then buried his face in the crook of my neck and took a deep breath. Freshly showered, he smelled of water and body wash.
He then began walking towards the bedroom.
Having waited so long, I stayed quietly in his arms but suddenly grew curious.
…But why did he bother changing his clothes? If he had just showered, he could have come out without anything on.

So, did we immediately share a passionate reunion after such a long time apart?
…Surprisingly, no.
Even more surprising, the reason wasn’t me.

I silenced his needless words with my lips.
