Feeling irritated, I raised my voice even more. Claude’s face turned practically purple, and he seemed unable to find a proper response.
The supreme antagonist was defeated by logic! It felt strangely satisfying.
Designating the person he detested as ‘his Guide’ was indeed a wise decision.
“Why don’t you try kissing just like you did back then! If that doesn’t work, tear me apart or grind me into pieces, do both, whatever! I’ll arrange for my last supper before I die!”

Claude wore an expression that seemed to say, “What’s wrong with this person?” as he looked down at me.
Regardless, since I had clearly designated Oscar as his Guide, I considered my responsibility fulfilled. I couldn’t be dragged around by Claude any longer.
I left Claude behind and ran happily toward the cafeteria.

No, I explicitly told him not to come until after he kissed Oscar.

Claude tightly shut his eyes.
“You didn’t, huh?”

Of course. It would be absurd for the final villain, Claude, to kiss someone while he was in his right mind.
I sighed a sigh of relief internally, making sure not to show any signs externally.
“Goodness. Lord Claude, you just want to deny it. How can you be so sure when you were in a hallucinatory state, not knowing the face or voice of your Guide? After all, I, who at least saw that person’s back, know better than Lord Claude, right?”
“…”
“Why? Is it because Lord Oscar is a man? Or maybe because he’s your friend?”
Though the angered Claude’s face turned red with frustration, he couldn’t refute my flawless logic.
After a long pause, he muttered.
“…Anyway, it’s not Oscar.”
“Um, then, you’ll have to live without a Guide from now on. I mean, it’s not like I can kiss someone on your behalf, Lord Claude.”
“…It seems like you’re having some delusions.”
Stepping forward abruptly, Claude closed the distance between us in a single stride, making me flinch at the sudden closeness.
“I’m not asking for anything from you.”
“Well, then…”
“If your misconception leads you to think I’m playing around, I came here to warn you that your tiny brain might get smashed.”
Claude’s red eyes glowed with intensity.
…I should tone it down. Perhaps I complained too much about not being able to kiss.
I closed my mouth like a clam.
