Chapter 59
VIII. Imbued with the Five Sacred Relics
“……!”
Even as shame compelled her to close herself, her legs would not budge. On the step beneath her, the silver tray was placed. Only then could she see what lay upon it.
“Just as He parted with what He nurtured to save many, so too must you.” The gaze of a bewildered Delonas met Lekia’s. He had descended to the step below. “But to do so, we must first insert them.”
“Insert wh—”
“The five blessings.”
She knew nothing of blessings, but the only five objects before her were five soft, egg-like things.
“Lord Lekia, it seems this one, having never served a god, fails to grasp the profound meaning,” one priest remarked.
Lekia clicked his tongue. “Then we must make her understand directly. Hold her fast.”
Following the priests gripping her legs, others bound her arms and shoulders. Lekia approached the space between her thighs.
“You can’t mean—”
Why did her ominous premonitions always prove right?
Lekia removed his pristine white glove and picked up one of the eggs from the tray. He brought his hand to her below. Deprived of any undergarments, she was already fully exposed. But her entrance, which had received little from either man or object, remained tightly clenched from tension.
Yet even the smallest opening remains a passage.
Lekia’s hand, having located the precise spot, forced the egg against the entrance to her passage.
“Hngh!”
It hurt…! Delonas bit her lip. She tried to writhe her hips away, but her restrained body was immobile.
“Do you intend to disobey the Goddess?”
She didn’t know what kind of god Ephina was, but no god could possibly do such a thing. As Delonas shook her head…
“Devotion springs from instinct. Let us see if your body gives the same answer as your rotten mind.”
With those words, Lekia, the egg still in hand, rubbed his knuckle against her sensitive flesh.
“Hah—!”
A sharp inhale caught in Delonas’s throat as the man’s coarse knuckle parted her folds and found a particular peak. That peak, stroked up and down by Lekia’s knuckle.
“Hh…!”
Though she had certainly been dry, her body reacted instinctively as something touched that sensitive place. As Lekia, with a lifted corner of his mouth, stroked the same spot up and down several times…
“Hh, nn…!”
Her body, its sensitive place stimulated, began to respond on its own. And the evidence soon appeared: the small egg pressed against her began to grow slick with her own moisture. The now-glistening surface of the egg seemed to have grown slightly larger.
“……?!”
As she stared in disbelief, Lekia’s hand pushed the egg into her passage.
“Hhuu…!”
The egg, which moments before had seemed as rough as dry cloth, absorbed the slickness, its surface turning smooth as it seemed to be sucked inside her. A faint, rounded fullness settled within, and she exhaled a shaky breath from the strange sensation.
“Goddess Ephina nurtured five. So must you.” Lekia pushed the tray closer to her.
Delonas shook her head.
In front of all these people… do what…?
“Tsk.”
Seeing she would absolutely not comply, Lekia clicked his tongue and gestured to the priests.
“Bring them out.”
The thought ‘It can’t be…’ froze in her mind the moment she saw the cart-like vehicles approaching, penetrating the now-deeper violet hue of the boundary. Beakin people—those with clear identities—were being carted in.
“Do you wish for them to suffer directly, as before?” they were gagged with cloth, hands bound behind their backs.
“Or must their blood be spilled before Ephina for you to perform the ritual yourself?”
The murderous voice conveyed one thing: comply, or their blood would flow.
Delonas’s lips trembled. Before Lekia, who gestured with his chin as if urging a swift decision, she bit her lip, then lowered her gaze.
Those binding her arms loosened the cloth tying her hands. A gesture was made to those holding her legs. Thus, entirely surrounded by black-clad figures, she was granted a freedom that was no freedom at all. Before her lay the four eggs she was to receive.
“…….”
Her fingertips shook.
But the moment paladins, now inside the violet boundary, pressed sword points against the people on the carts…
“Kyaaak!”
“Spare us, please spare us!”
…she could not turn away from the screaming former imperials. In the end, she picked up an egg.
