This work contains scenes of sadistic coercion and hardcore depictions of BDSM. Reader discretion is advised.

Siren replied evenly, her expression unchanging as she took her seat.

On either side of her, Nicoletta and Daphne smirked.

Only Bispar, at least, offered her a cheerful smile and waved in greeting.

‘As for the last person, I have no idea who they are. Likely someone from the Nu clan, judging by the red clothing.’

Naturally, no one from the Aquafuran clan—anyone who might take her side—had been invited.

This was a massive trap.

From this moment on, they would try to kill her.

What they didn’t know, however, was that Siren had just dreamed of Aquafuran.

Which meant that… somehow, though she was no goddess, she was seeing the world through the eyes of a god.

Looking down at all things from a vantage point above.

The sensation was unfamiliar, yet strangely fitting.

As if she had been born that way.

“This tea is made with dates and pomegranates. It’s both tart and sweet. Please, have a taste.”

“I do hope there’s no glass powder mixed in.”

“…That incident… I truly apologize for it. I failed to properly manage my subordinates.”

At Siren’s offhand remark, Hies bit her lower lip slightly.

She clearly took it as an attack.

Siren calmly sipped her tea without another word and set the cup down.

Fortunately, nothing unusual was inside.

If they had added a laxative, she would soon be in distress… but at least there were no visible insects or foreign substances. The taste was normal, too.

‘Well, with Bispar present, they wouldn’t dare be too reckless.’

Bispar looked at her with curious eyes. Then, as their gazes met, he silently mouthed, ‘You seem a bit different than usual.’

Siren did not respond.

If it had been the usual ‘Siren,’ she would have answered immediately… but for some reason, she didn’t feel like it.

“Um, are you still very upset? But that child was given the harshest punishment, so please let it go now. Something like that will never happen again.”

If it were Aquafuran, how would she have responded?

She would have said, ‘What does that have to do with me?’ And she would have made Hies kneel as well.

‘Then… Do I want to do the same?’

To be honest, even if she did, who would dare say anything?

After all, the incident had been Yasamin’s responsibility.

As her contemplation dragged on, so did the silence.

Hies, unaware of what was going through her mind, was growing irritated.

‘What, is she really making a fuss over such a minor injury?’

His red eyes narrowed slightly.

If she had been gravely injured, that would be one thing.

It was just a little glass powder—it’s not like she was going to die. Besides, the king had healed her so quickly!

‘What’s so admirable about such a petty personality? If it were me, I wouldn’t have even bothered making an issue out of it.’

Still, Hies wasn’t foolish enough to let those thoughts show on his face.

Especially with Bispar watching, he had to frame the situation as ‘Siren Wilkeron is overly sensitive.’

“Oh, and the refreshments beside you were specially prepared for today. It’s called lavashak—it’s made by simmering pomegranates, plums, cherries, and apricots into a thick paste, then drying it into thin sheets.”

“I appreciate it. Fruit must be quite valuable.”

“A distinguished guest has arrived—it’s only right to serve them.”

As Hies said this, he deliberately glanced at Nicoletta and Daphne.

The truth was, the three of them had already met in secret two days ago.

Thanks to that meeting, Hies had learned a secret about Siren Wilkeron.

A terrible secret that no one else knew yet.

When it was revealed, what kind of expression would she make?

‘But I won’t disgrace her openly here. That secret must be exposed in front of everyone. What I intend to do today is something else.’

By Siren’s side sat Larisa Orm, her lady-in-waiting.

A woman who was to be tied to the Kalik clan—and thus, equally unwelcome.

‘I knew she would bring her along. She’s a lady-in-waiting, so of course, she would keep her close.’

In fact, Larisa Orm was crucial to today’s objective.

“Would you introduce the lady beside you as well?”

“This is Larisa Orm, heir to a major merchant company. She’ll be returning to Wilkeron soon to take over the family business.”

“Oh my, business, you say?”

Hies widened his eyes slightly, tilting his head just a little—his subtle signal.

“It’s a pity we never had the chance to properly greet each other before. I never expected we’d meet like this.”

“That’s right. May I call you Lady Larisa?”

Nicoletta and Daphne smoothly switched to speaking in Wilkerian.

Immediately, the unknown woman in red began interpreting their words.

Siren, who had been silently observing, finally realized the woman’s identity.

‘Ah, they brought in an interpreter since communication would be difficult.’

But why go to such lengths?

It wasn’t just for a pleasant conversation.

‘Come to think of it… does Bispar even understand Wilkerian?’
