Chapter 151
Hollowing her mouth, she sucked him in and out repeatedly, and his hips jolted in response.
Siren reached her hand inward, teasing the roundness of the man’s form as she increased the intensity of her suction. Not long after, she felt something burst inside her mouth.
“…Haah. You’re really trying to kill me, aren’t you?”
Hearing the husky whisper of the man, his eyes flushed red with heat, she spat out what she had taken in.
The milky-white essence didn’t exactly taste good… but since it was his, she didn’t find it particularly unpleasant.
Utilizing the water-based Raksha, she cleansed her mouth thoroughly before resting her head against his thigh.
It was a bit high, making it somewhat uncomfortable, but she liked staying like this.
“Tell me anything, Yasamin.”
“What should I talk about…? Hmm, what kind of jewels should we set in the crown?”
“The ones that match your eye color.”
The decision was an easy one.
A blend of green diamonds and clear diamonds would likely create the perfect balance. That way, a regal and majestic crown would be born.
“Not sapphire? I prefer the color that matches your eyes.”
“Then we’ll set a green diamond in the center, with smaller sapphires below—lighter ones, so they don’t overpower the design.”
If both colors were too intense, the result wouldn’t be beautiful. But depending on the choice of sapphires, the combination could complement each other perfectly.
There were hundreds of shades of gemstones, after all.
Among the spoils they had seized, there was no shortage of precious stones.
Enough to scatter them across a bed and roll around in them, so choosing wouldn’t be difficult.
“I like Southern-style interiors for the bedroom, but I have to admit I’m fond of Wilkeron’s feather mattresses. They’re comfortable during s*x.”
As Yasamin idly stroked her hair, he suddenly made the remark.
Finding it an utterly typical thought of his, Siren chuckled and rubbed her cheek against him in agreement.
‘Ah… I’m happy.’
Here, in this moment, was a tranquility that felt untouched by the troubles of the world.
A late afternoon steeped in peace.
Now, the sun was making its slow descent beyond the western mountains, its lingering warmth dyeing the sky. Siren gazed absentmindedly at the distant horizon, bathed in shades of violet, crimson, and gold—until her eyes caught sight of a bird flying toward them from afar.
Its wings fluttered strangely, as if exhausted.
“Yasamin. You sent Jin to the South, right?”
“Hm? Yeah, I did. There wasn’t any trouble.”
“Really? Then what’s that?”
The bird, black-winged with a white body, was a messenger pigeon commonly used in the South.
It plopped onto the windowsill and let out a mournful cry as it gazed at them.
The moment Siren spotted the note tied to its leg, she abruptly sat up.
‘Could something have happened?’
She tried to dismiss the thought, but her heart already knew the answer.
A heavy thud resounded in her chest, sinking in an ominous way.
Wasn’t this what they called a bad premonition? Or perhaps instinct?
As soon as Yasamin untied the note and read it, his expression darkened—telling her everything without a word.
“Siren. We need to return immediately.”
“Why? What happened?”
“This time… the Nu clan has started a rebellion. And… they’re turning the entire Southern population into infected.”
“……!”
Beep—
A ringing noise echoed in her ears.
She couldn’t quite comprehend what she had just heard, so she urgently repeated it to herself.
Infected. The entire southern lands? Did that even make sense?
“I’m leaving immediately, but we’ll have to split the group into two. Eltan and some others will head to Idoros.”
“I’m going to the South as well.”
Of course, she knew that staying in Idoros was safer. She also knew Yasamin would handle things on his own.
But for some reason, an unease kept gnawing at her.
She had to see for herself what was happening.
“I’d prefer you to come with me, but… it could be dangerous.”
“I can handle Raksha well enough now. I’ll be fine.”
That was true. Hadn’t she recovered about 80% of her divine power? She could use both healing and offensive techniques.
At the very least, she wouldn’t become a burden to him.
“Alright, then the two of us will go first. We’ll take Jin and Pamilla with us. Have a hundred elite warriors follow behind, and split the remaining forces—half will guard this place, and the other half will go to Idoros.”
“Got it. Are we leaving right away?”
“That would be best. It sounds serious.”
