This work contains scenes of sadistic coercion and hardcore depictions of BDSM. Reader discretion is advised.

Today’s practice was to be assisted by Yasamin.

It was because, after seeing her holding onto Chris and Jin, bombarding them with questions, he raised an eyebrow and said:

“Do I not exist to you?”

When she mumbled that she hadn’t asked him because he was busy, it was obvious he was sulking.

In the end, Siren had to coax and appease him to lift his mood.

Even though he’s a thousand years old.

Keeping the childish remark firmly sealed in her mouth, she followed him. The place he led her to was none other than the training grounds of the southern warriors.

Under the scorching sun, their well-tanned skin gleamed. Muscles of all shapes and forms bulged, showing off their presence.

“Why did we come here…?”

Even though she had gotten somewhat used to it, seeing men’s bare torsos was still uncomfortable.

As she lowered her gaze and asked, Yasamin smirked.

“Summon the wind. And lower the temperature of the air, too.”

“Both at the same time?”

“You can do it. I’ll help you.”

Siren stretched out her hand and first grasped the Raksha of the wind. Pulling it in, she twisted it into a spiral and released it, sending the wind swirling.

“Oh, it’s windy!”

“Could it be a sandstorm?”

But mere wind had no real effect. It only disturbed the sand scattered around the training grounds, causing inconvenience.

The warriors in training frowned, then glanced around.

It didn’t even occur to them that Siren might have done something.

And only then did she realize why Yasamin had brought her here.

“You wanted to experiment… didn’t you?”

“Correct. There’s no place as spacious as a training ground. Plus, it’s great for observing people’s reactions. What do you think? Pretty smart idea, right?”

As if asking for praise, Yasamin leaned in close.

His flawless skin showed not a single pore. His beauty was so overwhelming that Siren’s heart inexplicably dropped, and she deliberately took a step back.

“Why are you running away?”

“You’re too…”

“Too?”

“Overwhelming.”

People who look like that should be mindful of their actions. Unless their goal is to cause heart attacks.

“You think I’m handsome?”

“Of course.”

“That makes me feel good. Hearing that I look good in your eyes.”

“Anyone with eyes wouldn’t fail to notice.”

Siren admitted it honestly and once again summoned the wind. This time, it was weaker than before—so weak that it couldn’t even lift a grain of sand. Then, she began to lower the temperature of the air.

“That’s right. Anchor the Raksha of water. Wrap it with wind and shake it so it cools down. There you go, you’re doing well.”

It wasn’t easy, but with effort, it worked somehow. Bit by bit, little by little, a refreshing breeze began to blow.

The sweat of the warriors in training cooled, and the overheated air settled.

Unable to hide her joy at the successful use of Raksha, Siren exclaimed,

“I did it!”

“You did. Look at you, picking it up so quickly. Impressive—my girl.”

Yasamin stroked her hair and lightly kissed her.

Siren, who had been smiling brightly, suddenly realized something.

If she used this method, she could release the ocean’s moisture into the air and form rain clouds.

“The way to make it rain…”

Thump, thump.

Her heart pounded in small beats.

As if there were a tiny drum inside her chest.

It felt as though something she had been waiting for a long time was about to burst forth.

She couldn’t quite explain it, but it tingled, like a seed sprouting.

Go on, go on. Try it. Use your power to your heart’s content. And feel yourself changing.

Do not fear. Move forward. To the ocean.

It felt as though someone was whispering to her.

“I’m going to head out tomorrow morning to clean up the shore. You can come when it’s safe. I’ll clear the most beautiful stretch of beach for you… so look forward to it.”

“Alright.”

She liked hearing him say things like this.

His kindness was what kept her alive.

There was just one thing she was curious about.

“Yasamin.”

She called his name on impulse.

It was probably the first time she had ever spoken it aloud.

Yasamin’s eyes widened in surprise before narrowing slightly. Watching that change, Siren couldn’t help but ask,

“Are you being kind to me? Or… to Aquafuran?”

“Is there a point in making that distinction?”

“There is.”

She wasn’t sure why. But she felt she had to draw that line. Absolutely, without fail…

“Hmm. If it were for Aquafuran, I wouldn’t have a reason to be kind. That being wouldn’t need my kindness—they already have everything.”

“…….”

“But you’re different. If I don’t take care of you, you might just drop dead.”

Ah, so it’s because I’m me.

Because it’s me he’s being kind to.

What a relief.
