Chapter 194
His hand circled over the bite mark he had left. Feeling ticklish, Eir trembled and grabbed his hand.
Unable to tell if that meant to stop or if it was just a reflexive action due to the ticklish sensation, Rubel simply gazed at her intently.
Frustrating.
He muttered that to himself as he lowered his head. Meeting her hazy eyes, he stared into them quietly as if searching for something within.
Inside his chest was a burning sea. He wanted to possess Eir, and just as she was the only one for him, he wanted—no, needed—to make her understand that he should be the only one for her.
But at the same time, he wanted to treat her more preciously than anything else in the world, and he didn’t want to push himself onto her and embrace her when she was injured like this.
“Why don’t you answer?”
That’s why he didn’t press further and waited for Eir’s response. She nestled her hand in his, intertwining their fingers. Rubel left kisses on her cheeks and cute nose, gradually moving lower.
Following her jawline, he hesitated near her lips before planting a kiss on her chin just below her lips, then continued downward.
“You’re mean.”
Eir frowned and lifted her head. She wanted to feel his touch. But no matter what, mixing bodies with him in this place felt like committing blasphemy against God.
As if understanding her thoughts, Rubel’s lips traced down along her exposed neckline. Their intertwined hands were pressed firmly to the floor as if to prevent her from moving, yet they remained gentle and tender, careful not to aggravate the wound on her arm.
“So do you dislike me? For tormenting you?”
His lips, descending ever lower, now touched her collarbone. Eir inhaled sharply and turned her head away. Unable to give any answer to Rubel’s question, she could only bite her lips tightly.
With his knee by her calf, she couldn’t escape either. Rubel went a bit lower. He inhaled the scent pooled over the plump flesh rising temptingly above her chest covering, then buried his nose between her b*****s.
“Uh, Rubel…….”
A thirst surged within her, and the space between her legs grew hot. Though they had been apart for a long time, her body seemed to remember their time together. Eir twitched her free hand and placed it on his shoulder.
“Answer me. Anything.”
Rubel grasped her hand, which was either trying to stop him or uncertain what to do, and gently pressed it to the floor like her other hand. Eir moaned as she drew her thighs together.
Even her frowning face looked beautiful to him, and he gazed at it quietly before slowly using his teeth to pull down the cloth covering her chest. The softly wrapped skin was gradually revealed.
Her n*****s were so e***t that the cloth caught on the tips before being pulled free. Rubel gritted his teeth at the stimulating sight. He had intended not to cross the decisive line until he heard her answer, but it was becoming increasingly difficult to hold back.
Rubel remained still for a moment for the sake of his patience. But to Eir, it felt like he was punishing her. She knew his habit of sometimes stopping right before intense pleasure and making her beg first.
“You…….”
She was about to say that he was being cruel, but when Eir met Rubel’s eyes, she realized that he was the one begging.
His clenched jaw protruded, his eyes half-dazed, he was hovering at the edge of patience.
Contrary to her expectations, he wasn’t teasing her—he truly wanted her but couldn’t bring himself to embrace her without permission. Seeing with her own eyes how much Rubel yearned for her made the heat rise even more. Eir unconsciously bent down and kissed his forehead.
“How could I not?”
Eir whispered that and decided to cross her own line for him.
After all, what was the point of a runaway priestess maintaining her beliefs in a prayer room now? When Rubel, who was beloved as God’s messenger, was staking everything to cling to her.
Eir decided to stop tormenting both him and herself. And she confessed the words welling up from her heart.
