Chapter 24
The father, who had been howling in rage, finally crumpled like a corpse as he watched his daughter writhe and cry out beneath the beast.
The moon hadn’t even begun to set yet.
* * *
When Hill, drained of strength, lay gasping for breath like a corpse, the man reached out.
Fshhuk!
The wolf thrusting between her legs faltered, then began to tremble violently. Soon after, a torrent of red blood rained down onto Hill’s face.
“Even if it’s a beast… I’m not fond of seeing Hill panting under another creature.”
“Haah… ha…”
“Still, I’ve come to understand your sincerity. Truly, my Hill is noble, willing to take a beast’s c**k to protect her father.”
The man gently wiped the blood from her face with his thumb before pressing a kiss to her damp cheek and whispering,
“Perhaps… last night you couldn’t taste a man’s c**k, so even a beast’s seemed necessary…”
It was a cruel insult, but Hill, exhausted and nearly out of her mind from enduring the frenzied animal, could form no reply. The man gazed down at her vacant eyes, then bit his fingertip.
Drops of blood fell one by one. He smeared it over every scrape and wound left on her body by the beast’s rough handling. Under normal circumstances, she would have recoiled. But now, spent and broken, she lay as still as a still life.
Once he’d treated even the most private parts, now soiled with seed and blood, the man removed his cloak. He laid Hill down gently upon it before turning around.
Behind him, the wolf lay wheezing, its breath nearly gone.
The beast’s throat was deeply slit, bloody foam bubbling from its mouth as its front legs twitched. It looked as if it could die at any moment.
Staring at the wolf with a numb look, the man dragged a nail across his palm.
The slit opened like a fate line, and blood poured forth. Extending his hand, he let the droplets fall onto the wolf’s wound.
Squeezing his fist to draw more blood, he murmured,
“I’d love to tear you apart right now… but there’s still work to be done.”
Grrrl…
“Look. The true sinner you should have ravaged is still standing on two legs, isn’t he?”
He shifted his gaze. There lay Raban, pinned against the iron plate, drooling and weeping.
Even though Hill had thrown herself in to protect her father, he had no intention of sparing Raban’s punishment. This was a man who dared break the agreement and try to take his daughter’s life. Mercy was out of the question.
A glass vial floating in the air flew toward Raban. The remaining heat scent liquid inside—about half a vial’s worth—spilled over his dry, withered skin. Raban twitched, but it was only a reflex.
The father who had just witnessed his daughter’s brutal violation was already half out of his mind.
The wolf, its wounds largely healed by the man’s blood, growled low. Pouring out the very last drop of the heat scent, the man turned to the beast and commanded:
“Ravage him.”
Awoooo!
Howling in reply, the beast lunged at Raban. Raban, who had already lost his mind, didn’t even flinch as it charged.
It was Hill who reacted. Revived by the man’s blood, she let out a piercing scream,
“Father!!!!!!!!!!”
But her desperate, throat-tearing cry was in vain. The beast that had violated the daughter now impaled the father. Planting its front paws on the bars, it trapped Raban between its legs and began thrusting violently. The sounds of tearing flesh and wet, brutal friction filled the air.
Tears streamed from Hill’s eyes as she witnessed her father being taken by the beast. Collapsed on the ground, she burst into convulsive sobs.
“Why… why are you doing this?! Why?! I said I’d take his place! I would take it, so Father should be…!”
Scrambling across the floor, Hill clawed desperately. The man, who had been watching Raban, approached her and bent down. Meeting her eyes, he replied,
“I don’t recall ever promising to spare your father if you took his place.”
“Sob… ngh…”
“Didn’t I already tell you, Hill? That I would make you clearly witness the fate of anyone who tried to harm you?”
“Hng… sob… Father…”
Gently stroking the face of the weeping Hill, the man said softly:
“No need to worry too much, Hill. I don’t intend to let your last remaining family die so easily. Fortunately, I have the blood of a giant that can heal wounds… so I can keep healing your father, can’t I?”
“Ahh…”
“I promise you… your father will likely live a very long life.”
And you, Hill, will get to watch for a long, long time how someone who tried to take your life meets his end.
His gentle voice was more cruel than death itself. Lifting her despair-soaked face, she saw the beast shuddering, perhaps having just finished. Her one-eyed father’s face was crushed against the iron, twisted just like this situation. The sight felt like her heart would burst.
“Please… please…”
Weeping, she reached out. Clutching the hem of the man’s clothes, holding onto him as if he were her only lifeline, she squeezed out a plea.
“Let Father go… please let him go…”
“……”
The red eyes looking down at her held not a shred of pity, only detachment. Crawling like an insect, Hill prostrated herself at his feet and now grasped his boots.
“I’ll do whatever you say… I’ll do anything… please…”
Please spare my father…
