What other bizarre tool would he have other than the taste generator? Cassius’s smile widened, and in a flash, a heart-shaped patch appeared in his hand, shimmering suggestively.
At that moment, Eugenie felt a sharp, cold tingle at the nape of her neck. She silently realized something: Cassius Lysander was also using magic, and it was dangerous.
Yet his smile remained as harmless and enchanting as a fairy’s.

The patches, with their gaudy, toy-like colors, reminded her of cheap stationery from childhood. She would have laughed if the sudden stimulation from the patches hadn’t left her clutching the sheets and gasping for air.

From beneath her arm, Eugenie frowned. The way he looked at her—practically begging —was infuriating. Early on, he had at least been polite and reserved. Now, any pretense of formality had been discarded, and she scolded him.
“Do you always ask questions when you’ve already decided on the answer?”
“Oh, come now, we’re partners. I still have to get your consent, don’t I? So, can I?”
“Fine. But take them off gently—ah!”
The moment she gave her approval, Cassius ignored her request and ripped the patches off without hesitation.
“You—ugh!”
The sharp sting from their removal sent another shiver through her body, leaving her inner thighs wetter than ever from the lingering sensations.
