Chapter 44
Hearing her voice on the verge of tears, Paiki looked at her. His expression seemed to ask why she was acting like this when he was inside her.
Aniella felt her head grow cold at his irresponsible nonchalance. What if she got pregnant from what just happened? Would he take responsibility and marry her and the child?
She knew all too well how difficult the life of an unmarried mother was, having seen it painfully through her sister, Holly. The thought that she might end up the same way terrified her.
“Don’t worry about contraception.”
Paiki said to the trembling Aniella. He brushed the hair from her forehead and smiled.
“You think I can separate worlds with magic, but can’t manage contraception?”
Right. She didn’t need to worry about contraception. He wouldn’t want to recklessly become someone’s father either. But as he looked at Aniella lying there, sweaty and disheveled, a strange thought occurred to him. If he were to have a child, he wouldn’t mind if Aniella were the one to bear it.
However, when Aniella let out a sigh of relief, his sense of reality returned. A child? Had his s****l frustration really built up enough for him to have such a foolish thought? Perhaps it had. His e***t member, standing tall for her again, was evidence enough.
Paiki smiled wryly to himself and covered her body with his own.
Outside, the sunset had faded, and pitch-black night had fallen. Throughout the night, Paiki came inside and outside her slender body countless times. As long as he consciously chose not to turn back time, the night remained night, forcing Aniella to endure his attentions for a long time.
The very thing Aniella had feared was happening.
Once the line was crossed, the next times came easily. Now, every third time their eyes met, Paiki would kiss her, and every other time, he would catch her as she tried to sneak away.
“Why, why are you so overflowing with lust like this?!”
At this rate, she’d lose weight no matter how much she ate. Sensing the crisis, Aniella mustered her courage to resist. Paiki, who had been undressing her and burying his face in her chest, lifted his head and looked at her. Then he declared, utterly unabashed,
“It’s because you look at me with such lewd eyes.”
Aniella was wronged. All she had done was glance at him when he was there just as she finished her bath.
She knew she should avoid making eye contact with him at all costs, lest sparks fly. She knew that once caught, her body would suffer. But setting all that aside, there was one biggest problem: it felt good that he desired her incessantly, never satisfied.
To think she could feel gratified by such an absurd shifting of blame. She had fallen so hard for him that she could no longer think straight.
No, Aniella. Have you forgotten what a bad man he is? He’s someone who resorted to kidnapping because going through the proper procedures for hiring someone was too much trouble. He feels no pang of conscience. Letting your heart be stolen by someone like that is a disaster!
Aniella scolded herself inwardly.
“If you’re tired, we don’t have to do it today.”
Just as she was thinking she mustn’t like him because he’s a bad person, he had to go and say something considerate. Aniella hated herself for being moved by such a simple statement and for finding him kind.
“Then let go of me, please.”
Aniella tried to remove his hand wrapped around her waist. Paiki tightened his arm and refused. He had only said he wouldn’t have s*x; he hadn’t said he’d let her go.
He buried his nose in Aniella’s chest and inhaled. Since she had just finished bathing, she smelled of soap.
“Next time, don’t bathe in advance. We’ll go in together.”
Aniella was confused about what their relationship was. Judging only by how he treated her, it was almost like they were a married couple or lovers, but that wasn’t the case, was it?
“Speaking of which, Duke, how many days are left until the two months are up?”
