Hello everyone! there are changes in the chapter numbering, I had edited it to the correct arrangement as there was confusion in the chapter count. Apologies and enjoy the translation!

“What are you thinking about?”

Paiki, who had approached her from behind without her noticing, asked. Aniella tapped the space beside her with her hand. He didn’t like sand getting into his shoes and clothes, but he obediently sat down next to her.

“I’m thinking about a wife who is becoming increasingly willful because of a husband who grants her every wish.”

Aniella said, leaning against him. Paiki slightly raised his arm so she could link hers with his.

“Do you like it?”

“Yes. I think Holly and Marius would like to see it too. They’re the ones who told me about the purple sunset.”

A furrow appeared between Paiki’s brows. Just thinking about that couple gave him a headache.

Before Holly’s marriage, Lord Mullier had stubbornly refused to let Aniella go either. Maybe I should have just left him to be killed by the loan sharks back then. It’s not too late even now; should I get rid of him quietly?

He agonized over it, but for Aniella’s sake, he endured it and had to find a husband for Holly. Since she was the protagonist of a scandal that once rocked high society, those who remembered those times were difficult to persuade. When he tried to match her with a younger man who knew nothing, Holly refused, saying a younger partner than her sister was burdensome.

Paiki had no choice but to prod Marius into proposing to her. But since when did Marius ever listen to him? He insisted he’d handle it himself and refused to take advice even if he were dying. If he was going to talk big, he should have just proposed quickly instead of struggling to even speak, groaning and wasting time.

What with all the coaxing and wheedling, mixed with threats and traps, his own marriage got delayed. Even now, approaching their third wedding anniversary, thinking about the trouble he went through back then made him sick.

“Just so you know, I have no intention of showing this to anyone but you.”

Especially not to those people.

Paiki barely swallowed the rest of his words. But it was written all over his face. Aniella immediately noticed his displeasure and laughed, rubbing her cheek against his arm.

“That was your way of saying it’s so beautiful. I want to watch it all night, so let’s stay here today.”

Only then did Paiki’s brow smooth out.

The mansion was still a hidden space. However, it wasn’t completely cut off from the outside, so Aniella could come and go as she pleased.

Paiki was quite surprised when his wife said she wanted to go back there again. Apart from feeling a bit stifled by the thought of being confined, she said she had unexpectedly built memories there and had grown fond of it.

He couldn’t understand how her words could change so much from when she used to say she hated it. But, regardless, he felt happy whenever she visited this place. Even when he wasn’t by her side, he could know what she was doing. She knew he was watching, too. So she sometimes did cute things like calling his name while touching herself alone.

“Here, you can’t escape from me, can you?”

Paiki pushed her shoulders down, laying her back onto the large towel.

For Aniella, who had been adrift in the middle of the ocean, unable to go this way or that, meeting Paiki was like a storm. Who would have thought such a violent storm, one that seemed capable of capsizing a ship, would lead her to such a beautiful shore?

Aniella closed her eyes and accepted his slowly approaching lips.
