Chapter 38
“Let’s wash up and have dinner together. What do you like? Ah. Should I wash you?”
At Kasselard, who leaned in with shining eyes full of anticipation, Ephinia reflexively covered her chest with both arms and pulled her body back.
“I-I can bathe by myself!”
“I wouldn’t mind if you washed me… you like touching mine, don’t you.”
“That’s not true! That was because of guiding…”
As she snapped back, Kasselard watched her flushed face with sparkling eyes. Ephinia felt flustered and strangely unsettled, and tried to step back.
But Kasselard pulled her by the waist and held her tightly in his arms.
Startled, she looked up, and he gazed at her with a mischievous look.
“Really? You weren’t excited when you were touching my chest and abs? You looked full of curiosity when you touched me down there too.”
Her face, struck right where it hurt, flushed even more. As she blinked in confusion, Kasselard’s face drew closer.
“Wait, don’t lick my lips… mm, don’t lick them.”
“Don’t close your eyes. Look at my face. You like my face too, don’t you?”
As she squeezed her eyes shut while he sucked at her lips, Kasselard whispered. When Ephinia opened her eyes slightly and stole a glance at him, Kasselard was staring at her with a strange look in his eyes.
This was such a strange situation. She was covered in his fluids, far from anything beautiful, and yet she found herself thinking that his face was beautiful.
“I like your face too, your voice, and the way you look when you feel it. You’re warm and soft, and when I touch you it feels so good I think I’ll go crazy.”
She had never said she liked his face. But perhaps the fact that she couldn’t look away from him was already an answer.
“Your Highness.”
“Hmm?”
“G-Get away from me!”
“Oh, that’s harsh.”
She pressed firmly against his chest, but Kasselard showed no sign of letting go. She pinched his arm… but it was so hard it barely pinched! Slapping at him, Ephinia snapped,
“If you keep this up, I’ll really start to hate you!”
She truly hadn’t expected those words to work. Kasselard obediently released her, and Ephinia looked slightly surprised as she climbed down from his lap.
He had healed her n*****s, but he hadn’t removed any of the kiss marks or bite marks he left behind, so her chest was a mess. Ephinia hurriedly pulled her blouse closed to cover herself and fastened the buttons.
“You really won’t attend to my bath?”
“No.”
“You’ll at least stay for dinner, right? Otherwise I won’t receive guiding tomorrow.”
Ephinia turned her head and glared at him, but Kasselard was serious. That jerk.
“…I’ll eat before I go.”
There was something she wanted to check anyway, so she could at least have dinner with him. Her answer had its own intention, but Kasselard seemed pleased with that alone.

After coming out of the hot bath, his body went back into cold water again. Kasselard’s unfocused gaze turned toward the bracelet on his left wrist.
1102.
The number showed clearly, with the red warning light still on to indicate a dangerous level. Kasselard swallowed dryly and sank back into the cold water.
‘Why did I do that?’
He had told that woman he liked her. He had even said she was pretty over and over. Well, he had said things like that before, so that part didn’t matter…
Me? Have feelings for her? Someone like her?
As Ephinia’s image rose hazily in his mind, Kasselard shook his head sharply. In his imagination she looked far too beautiful, and he couldn’t accept that image. When they first met, she had been an eyesore, and yet in just a few days she now looked this pretty!
‘This guiding is ruining me.’
He was certain of it, but there was no way to escape. He had avoided her well for several days, but his physical condition and his mind had been a mess… Even now he wasn’t in great shape, but it was bearable. The problem was that it was too bearable.
‘This is. This is because I stayed in a bad condition for too long, and then finally received real guiding… that’s the only reason!’
After more than three hours of biting and sucking, the amount his level had dropped couldn’t really be called ‘proper guiding’, but he had no other excuse.
Or had he really started to fall for her?
‘No way! I have high standards!’
Kasselard shook his head violently and got out of the bath. Now that he was free from the spell of guiding, he would be able to confirm it when he saw Ephinia at dinner later.
I haven’t fallen for her. No way.
