Educators from all over the continent began to gather one by one at Zenor Ducal mansion. The faculty for Ian’s education was composed of prominent figures whose names were well-known. Rumors spread both inside and outside the mansion that their salaries were equivalent to the price of three estates, but no one who heard it doubted the truth of those claims.

Above all, these were highly respected individuals who would not be swayed by anything less than great prestige. One could see just how meticulous and careful the Duke and his wife had been in selecting the teachers for their son’s dreams from this extravagant faculty. At this point, one might think the true benefactors were not Ian but his parents.

That aside, thanks to these prestigious teachers, the preparation for the entrance exam could proceed properly. The problem, however, was about to begin.

“We need to prepare for the interview.”

In the entrance test, Ian would need to score at least an A- in every subject to be admitted to the academy. Of course, given the Duke family’s name, the tests could be easily passed, but the interview was mandatory for everyone, with no exceptions.

The entrance interview was, in fact, just a formality. Given the Duke family’s wealth and reputation, everything was already decided. The interviewers’ role was likely just to ask a few routine questions.

Considering the amount of money poured into it by the Duke and his wife, the interviewers were probably just there to ensure everything went smoothly and submit a report saying, “It went well.”

Thus, not much was expected from the interview. Simply answering the questions with an honest expression and showing a moderately confident attitude would be enough.

However, the problem lay exactly there. The possibility that Ian might not be able to do even that much.

“The bastard just needs to not break the interviewers’ skulls while naked.”

It wasn’t an unreasonable thought. There was a real possibility that Ian could do something even worse than the worst scenario I could imagine. It would be a blessing if he didn’t set the interview room on fire.

I reviewed the admission guidelines handed to me by the Duke’s butler. Two months left until the exam. I had to somehow turn Ian into a human being in that short period. If I didn’t, no matter how hard I tried, all of this would be for nothing.

“Miss, breakfast is ready.”

A polite voice from the maid reached my ears. I closed the booklet and nodded.

“Ah, I’ll come down.”

The reason I was still staying at the Duke’s residence was simple. I needed to keep an eye on Ian until his condition improved and intervene immediately if necessary. Josefina was delighted by this suggestion and happily offered me a room.

The problem was, I couldn’t get used to this luxurious lifestyle at all.

The maids, who had been waiting, skillfully began to change my clothes. I held my arms still, but the entire process felt awkward and uncomfortable.

Ugh, this is so uncomfortable. I’d never been treated like this before, not even before I was possessed.

Only people who have been pampered get to be treated this way. I spent my life as a company slave, eagerly awaiting the day I would lick the rich man’s toes, so I couldn’t really enjoy this treatment. I must have been a servant in my past life.

If I didn’t consciously block it out, the awkwardness made my expression subtly harden. I kept my composure and tried to seem indifferent while leaving myself in their hands. It would be great if I could return to the original world before I got used to this kind of service.

“His Grace has already arrived in the dining room,”

The maid said, brushing my hair briskly with a thick comb.

“What about Ian?”

There was a pause. I felt the maid’s hands freeze for a moment. When I looked back, I saw one side of her cheek twitching uncontrollably.

“…Did he run away?”

“No, no. He’s downstairs.”

Her voice, strangely filled with what sounded like fear, raised my suspicion. I quickly finished preparing and hurriedly made my way to the dining room. The hallway leading to the dining room seemed longer than usual. An ominous feeling urged me to quicken my pace.
