Chapter 6
“Hey, look! This bastard is drunk?”
“Wahahaha! He really is?”
Vulgar words that were hard to believe coming from Holy Knights were heard. He should say something as usual. His head was ringing so much he couldn’t form a single word.
“Rogerick, want more? Huh? Isn’t it delicious?”
Delicious, it is delicious, but…….
‘I have to stop drinking…….’
But a glass was already in his hand. The pink liquid he had been drinking without knowing what it was.
“Drink, try it. You’ve come all this way; shouldn’t you have a blast?”
The vulgar chuckling was making him dizzy. He felt he couldn’t take it anymore. Rogerick passed the glass and tried to get up.
“W-whoa, whoa, you can’t do that!”
Jamie pushed down on Rogerick’s shoulder. Grinning spitefully, he winked.
“This is liquor even fragile ladies can easily drink; are you already giving up?”
“…Giving up.”
Rogerick’s unfocused green eyes glared at Jamie. Laughter erupted around them.
He had already passed the point of being able to tell right from wrong. Rogerick, with his body swaying, grabbed the glass again and downed it in one gulp.
With a loud cheer, his consciousness was slowly fading.

The slow train dropped Cecilia off in Erdel in the late afternoon.
As a result, Cecilia had to complete the long and complicated preparations for a noble lady’s party in a short amount of time. She was in such a hurry she didn’t even have time to look around Violet House, which was said to be so beautiful.
By the time she frantically got a carriage and arrived at the party hall, it was already late. As she went inside, loud noises rushed over her like a wave. The corners of Cecilia’s lips twisted.
‘…What a mess.’
It wasn’t a party that was so chaotic as to be disgusting. It was just a booze-fest with not an ounce of noble elegance.
The drunk nobles, instead of performing elegant dances, were tangled on the floor, shouting and making a scene. They were like children having their first drink and renewing their most embarrassing memories.
To think a man would attend a party like this. Her expectations for Rogerick Montieux plummeted out of control.
But she couldn’t help it. Even if he was a man with a dirty private life, he was the easiest lifeline for Cecilia to grab right now. Besides, considering his future, she absolutely couldn’t miss him.
Cecilia quickly searched the hall. Some men tried to hit on her, but she lightly ignored them as if they were pesky salespeople.
‘He’s not here.’
A handsome man with orange-blond hair and green eyes. The Rogerick Montieux she was looking for was not in this hall.
‘Then he must have gone into a room…….’
That was something she absolutely couldn’t allow. If he had already met the wife from the original story, what if he was having a little fling with her already…?
‘No.’
Cecilia’s face instantly turned cold. Her hurried steps climbed the stairs. The second-floor hallway had rows of doors like a hotel. Without hesitation, Cecilia began to fling open the closest doors.
“Gasp! What the—!”
“Who are you!”
Every time she flung a door open, the people inside, who were having a private moment, yelled at her. Cecilia didn’t even flinch; she quickly scanned the man’s appearance and then slammed the door shut.
Perhaps due to their pride, no one chased her down the hallway. How long had she been going on like this, poking around? Just as her slender arms were starting to ache, she flung open a door and stopped.
The unlit room was dark and quiet. By inertia, she should have assumed no one was there and closed the door.
In a split second, Cecilia spotted him. The rare orange-blond hair shining in the faint moonlight coming through the curtains.
It was definitely Rogerick Montieux.
Cecilia entered the room.
A man was lying on the bed.
His face was deeply scrunched up, and his entire body was filled with drunkenness, unable to move properly. For some reason, his shirt was unbuttoned. His pants belt was undone, too.
‘…Did he already do it?’
No, no way. If that were the case, wouldn’t a woman usually be left behind, not a man?
Besides, the bed sheets were only ruffled but dry. There were no clothes from another person scattered around. It was both a relief and pathetic.
To what extent had he behaved like a wild colt to take his clothes off and get drunk to this state all by himself?
Cecilia let out an empty laugh.
He was definitely a handsome man, even with his eyes closed. He still had a bit of a boyish feel to him. But the muscles visible through his open shirt were quite solid.
“Ugh…….”
Rogerick, who was groaning, faintly opened his eyes. His green eyes blinked without focusing and then spotted Cecilia.
“…Cecil?”
