When we returned to the Princess’s Palace, a maid informed me that Killis was here. I hurriedly headed to the library where he was said to be.

I looked at him worriedly. While Isaac was injured externally, Killis had suffered internal injuries from mana depletion due to the sudden inspection last time.

When I showed Killis the bracelet, his eyes widened.

I couldn’t help feeling a bit disappointed at Killis’s answer. It was quite an interesting topic, and I’d planned to look it up next time I visited the library.

“Then, is that all you received from Her Majesty Evgenia? The treasury keys and that bracelet?”

I should probably tell Killis in advance too, right? Though he’ll find out soon anyway, it’s better to hear it from me than through others. After all, he is my fiancé.

As I spoke, I watched Killis’s expression. And from what I could tell, like Isaac, he didn’t seem particularly pleased about it.
