Chapter 189
After saying it, I grew so embarrassed I couldn’t stay still. Just as I tensed my toes to get up, my hips were pulled back down.
“Ah……!”
The sensation piercing inside startled me more than it hurt. Flustered, I looked at Reno, who only tightened his arms around my waist.
“Where are you trying to go?”
“We’re done, so I should wash up.”
“Really? You weren’t trying to run away?”
“How could I—? Ah.”
I’d meant to say No, but it came out wrong.
And I only realized it after the words had already left my mouth.
As I failed to control my expression, my lips twitched, and Reno chuckled faintly before nuzzling his face against my collarbone. His warm breath and handsome nose bridge tickled my skin.
“If you were thinking of running away…….”
“Ah, w-wait, hold on—”
“You should’ve done it sooner. Instead of saying you liked it.”
“I—I just, ah, mm, ah……!”
Reno nipped lightly at my skin before licking it. Each time his descending breath grazed a sensitive spot, heat bloomed like flowers.
The heightened mood wasn’t unpleasant, so in the end, I surrendered myself to him.
“Ah, hnng~ Mm, Reno……!”
Unable to endure the stimulation spreading through my body, I tangled my fingers in the damp golden hair at the nape of his neck.
Like the wet strands entwining my fingers, our bodies soon became a dizzying tangle.

Tossing in my sleep, I felt something solid bump against me. I’d woken up, but my consciousness floated hazily until the aches throughout my body made themselves known.
“Ugh, mm…….”
Blinking my eyes, a pleasant voice reached me from nearby.
“Awake?”
Reno smiled with a playful glint in his eyes. It seemed he’d been toying with my hair while I slept—a long silver strand was wrapped around his finger.
My gaze drifted from his mischievous hand (which wasn’t even exerting much force) to his veined forearm, his toned bare torso, and finally his face, staring blankly.
Only then did a question occur to me.
Why is Reno here?
When our eyes met again, Reno tilted his head slightly.
“Your Highness?”
Under the bright sunlight, his golden hair almost looked silver. Reno suits silver hair too. Though, really, with that face, anything would suit him… Wait, hold on.
“Reno?”
“Yes.”
“You’re real?”
“Shouldn’t I be?”
My mouth fell open. Until now, I’d always woken up alone, so I’d assumed it’d be the same this time. But I wasn’t alone.
‘How did this even happen?’
Retracing last night’s memories, I realized that even after returning to the bedroom, I’d tangled with Reno until exhaustion pulled me under.
Unlike Isaac, who strictly did only what was asked before leaving, Reno hadn’t let go. He’d pushed me relentlessly, and in the end, things had turned out like this.
It was an unfamiliar situation, so it was bewildering—but that was all. It wasn’t bad in its own way.
‘But was Reno’s face always this close?’
The moment the thought crossed my mind, something soft brushed against my lips before disappearing just as quickly. Only then did I process what had happened.
“Wh-why?”
“Weren’t you looking at me like you wanted a kiss?”
“Me?”
“You were making that face.”
Dumbfounded, I blinked, and Reno added, “You still are.” while staring at my lips.
When I hurriedly covered my mouth with my hand, he laughed. He was definitely teasing me. Feeling ridiculous for being the only one flustered, I lowered my arm and retorted.
“Didn’t you do it because you wanted to?”
