Chapter 107
Even so, Cynthia spent a peaceful time for a while.
“Did you cough, Milady?”
“Good morning, Milady.”
“Master is waiting for you, Milady. Let us help you get ready.”
Perhaps out of concern that Cynthia might feel uncomfortable, all the servant-creatures disguised themselves with human faces, just like on the first day, as they attended to her. Not only did they treat Cynthia with utmost courtesy, they unfailingly addressed her as ‘Milady,’ acting exactly as if she were the lady of the mansion.
Segleninde assigned her three exclusive maids, with Melissa at the head, and every day, these maids busied themselves with praising Cynthia’s beauty. Even while attending to her morning bath, they never left their mouths idle.
“Milady’s outer shell is so lovely.”
“That’s right. Even the texture of your hair is so beautiful!”
“It really feels rewarding to care for you every time!”
Melissa stood beside them with a proud smile, as if what they said was only natural.
Cynthia, understanding their compliments to mean that her skin and hair were nice, replied with a thank you. Back at the Count’s household, except for Melissa, nobody paid her any attention, and even on Earth, she rarely received compliments about her appearance, so although it felt awkward, she was secretly pleased.
After the morning bath, she headed to the dressing room.
Under Melissa’s command, creature tailors disguised as humans moved busily, crafting a dress for Cynthia with skilled hands.
It was a deep green dress like the one she wore to the banquet on her first day, but with splendid embroidery and even decorated with jewels. The material was so luxurious it couldn’t even be compared to the cost-effective dress the Count Obel had grudgingly gotten her as if he was doing her a favor.
On top of that, she wore a hair ornament, ring, and necklace made of pure gold and emeralds, and even shoes decorated with jewels. Looking at her reflection in the full-length mirror, Cynthia couldn’t even recognize herself.
Her looks were cute like a fairy, yet dazzlingly beautiful. She figured it had to be her, but she looked so much like a magnificent lady of high society that it even felt unfamiliar.
“My goodness, Miss. You’re so beautiful!”
Melissa looked like she was about to summon a painter on the spot to immortalize this appearance on canvas, even showing tears. Her head changed back into a flower, with black petals blooming brilliantly. At some point, the old merchant woman Clara had come into the dressing room, clapping her hands.
< Heeheehee! >
“Oh my, no peddlers allowed!”
“Really, where do you keep appearing from every time?”
Maids whose human disguises had come undone—like Melissa, with their heads turning into flowers—tried to drive Clara out. But before leaving, Clara slyly opened the box she was carrying to show its contents.
Curious, Cynthia craned her neck to take a peek, and inside the box were various items, just like before. All of them had become even more daring and stimulating than last time.
: The moment you spray it on your body, anyone can be enchanted. Newlywed couple special discount, 21 Luven.
: Increases duration of estrus upon consumption. A magic potion that doubles your happy time. Newlywed couple special discount, 30 Luven.
: Can seduce anyone. Even someone who is already seduced. Newlywed couple super-super-special discount, 15 Luven.
Every item on the list was incredible.
Since deciding to stay in the mansion, Cynthia hadn’t done anything of that sort with Segleninde yet, perhaps because they were giving her time to adjust, but just looking at these things, lewd thoughts started to bubble up on their own.
With her face turning bright red, Cynthia fluttered her hands.
“Ah, newlyweds? We’re not married yet. We’re engaged. Hmph. Ah, but do you actually charge money for these?”
< Heehee? >
Clara tilted her head as if wondering why Cynthia would ask something so obvious.
