Chapter 201
That was the memory of Novnie, which had been buried deep within her.
“He locked me here…”
Her muttering grew stronger as her voice became more forceful.
Flash—
A massive lightning bolt struck directly in the center of the Count Ulfest’s garden.
“Eek!”
A maid screamed.
“Wow!”
The face of a servant, mouth agape.
“……”
Even Ivonne’s green eyes, which had been wandering aimlessly through the air.
Everything turned white, like the ashes of something burning away, destined to return to nothingness. And in that moment, Novnie fully awoke.

There had certainly been a warning.
― Madam!
That was when it happened.
With a sharp crack, something deep within her soul broke.
Ivonne could be described as another personality of Novnie who had all of the divine power sealed away. So, this sound, this breaking, was likely the sound of the protective barrier that had been keeping Novnie’s soul separated from Ivonne’s, shattering.
Ivonne’s mind should have collapsed. After all, a god is far too large and heavy a force for a human body to bear. But unfortunately, Ivonne’s mind had already been shattered.
It was the death of Blitzen and Herix that had caused this.
Ivonne’s mind, torn apart and shattered, had become more fragile, and in the cracks, Novnie’s powerful force had infiltrated.
The reason Novnie had to sleep within a human body was because the human mind was too small to contain such power. Yet, as Novnie’s force filled the broken mind, it created a larger vessel for itself.
Moreover, when Isaac had held onto Ivonne, the power that had made him a god flowed into her body. That had been a sufficient medium to awaken the long-dormant soul of a god.
In summary, all of these miraculous events could be described in one sentence:
“I need to meet Aiden and Herix. I need to ask them directly.”
It meant that Ivonne and Novnie had perfectly merged.
“Why did both of them betray me?”
Ivonne stood up. Despite not eating, sleeping, or bathing for an entire week, she was more vibrant than ever. The lightning that continued to strike outside, tearing through the air like claws, didn’t faze her in the slightest.
It was as if she had created the lightning herself, as if it was a mere creation of her own.

Count Ulfest’s territory had suffered immense damage due to the record-breaking rainfall over the past week. Natural disasters, such as landslides and flooding, had already caused destruction, but the casualties from the unexpected thunderstorm and flood damage were even worse.
These floodwaters also affected those buried beneath the earth.
“Dad! Mom’s grave is…!”
“Ah, Helena! I’ll save you right now!”
“What are you doing? Hurry and dig the drainage ditches before the cemetery is flooded!”
The cemetery was in chaos. Graves were submerged, and in some cases, tombstones had fallen over. Family tombs or those with known owners were less affected, but the truly horrific scenes were at the unmarked graves.
‘Has Blitzen’s grave been affected like this?’
Due to the lightning falling around the Count Ulfest’ estate, even the gravekeeper had been trapped within the grounds. Ivonne felt uneasy. As she walked, her eyes scanned the gravestones for those buried without names.
Boom!
The thunder roared continuously, as if heavy clouds were crashing into each other. While Ivonne had used magic to block the rain for herself, others around her were drenched by the heavy downpour that seemed to pour from a hole in the sky.
“Cough, cough…“
Even as Ivonne passed by, an old woman, holding a bent umbrella, was standing guard over a gravestone. It seemed to be the spot where her husband had been buried. The woman’s soaked appearance made it seem as though she would soon follow her husband, so Ivonne, with a simple gesture, cast a protective barrier around the woman.
“…!“
The old woman with her body instantly dry, stared at Ivonne, who stood with poise and elegance in the pouring rain.
It was an inhuman and surreal sight. The gentle, spring-like aura surrounding Ivonne was something even an ancient sorcerer could never imitate. Realizing something in that moment, the old woman quickly knelt, clasping her wrinkled hands together and resting her forehead against them in prayer.
“Novnie, god of ours, thank you.”
It was a prayer. Ivonne glanced at the old woman offering her prayer, then continued on her way.
Ivonne’s steps through the cemetery were unwavering, without any hesitation. In truth, her mind was filled with a single thought.
‘Why is the Crown Prince here?’
She was planning to find Aiden and Herix to ask them why they had betrayed her. But Aiden, and now even any traces of Isaac, had completely vanished. It was as if they no longer existed in this world.
‘He must have deliberately disappeared.’
Unable to find Aiden, Ivonne teleported straight to where Herix was, and to her surprise, it was the cemetery. The public cemetery near the Ulfest family tomb. She hadn’t teleported directly to the family tomb, perhaps because the overwhelming sorrow she felt there had interfered with her magic.
‘Without realizing it…’
So, after walking there herself, Ivonne arrived at Blitzen’s grave, and beside it, the person she was searching for stood.
Herix. That hellish man.
A week had passed since Novnie’s soul had awakened inside her, and the last time Ivonne had teleported from Herix’s side.
Yet, it seemed like Herix hadn’t moved a single step from this spot.
