Chapter 31
At Lysei’s words, Trey tilted his head, a dubious expression on his face, and nodded a couple of times. “But why run here when there’s a wide training ground? It would be much more comfortable to run there.”
“I would like to, but His Majesty won’t let me go anywhere else.”
“Ah…”
“Is the training ground really that big?” Lysei’s eyes sparkled.

“She wore what?” Edin’s eyebrows shot up as he listened to the report.
The head servant, head bowed, recounted everything that had happened in the flower garden, exactly as he’d heard it from the maid. At the news that Lysei had run five laps around the flower garden, wearing Trey’s trousers and her hair tied back, Edin and Zerga’s eyes widened simultaneously.
It was absurd enough that a woman would borrow a man’s clothes and run in them, but the fact that she’d even exchanged a few kicks with Trey left them both speechless.
Edin hastily summoned Trey. Having already anticipated the Emperor’s summons, Trey meticulously relayed every detail of his conversation with Lysei.
“She didn’t seem to be part of a mercenary group, but it appears she trained from a young age. Judging by the short exchange we had, where she used an entirely unfamiliar martial art, it might be prudent to investigate the Orphe Barony.”
“An entirely unfamiliar martial art?”
“Yes, a technique I’ve never seen before.”
“Did my Nyxna do such a thing?”
“Yes. Her body seemed completely unaccustomed to the movements, but considering she executed the same technique twice with identical form, it appears she has some knowledge of it.”
“Her body seemed completely unaccustomed?”
“It seems she’s only seen it. Her mind remembers, but her body hasn’t experienced the technique, making her movements awkward and lacking power.”
“I see. Look into the Orphe Barony.”
“Yes, Your Majesty.”
“And…”
“Yes, Your Majesty.”
“From now on, give my Nyxna my clothes.”
“….”
“Not your clothes. My clothes.”
“Yes, Your Majesty.”
“You may leave.”
Once Trey bowed and departed, Zerga, without pausing his writing, asked Edin, “Do you even have clothes suitable for training?”

Having exerted herself in the flower garden, Lysei returned to her room. After enjoying a bath attended by her maids, she leaned back against the sofa. Sipping the green drink she’d requested, she relaxed her weary muscles. Then, she recalled the taekwondo kicks and judo throws she’d tried out on Trey.
Neither technique had worked as well as she’d hoped. It was only natural, considering this body had never performed such movements.
‘Should I start by strengthening my arms and legs?’ she murmured to herself without realizing it, then briefly considered whether it was even necessary to learn such things in this body. However, she changed her mind, thinking it wouldn’t hurt to retain and master what she’d learned in her previous life. It might come in handy someday.
One never knew what might happen. It was always best to be equipped to protect oneself. Now that she knew the Emperor loved her, the thought occurred to her that the Empress might one day try to kill her. A shiver ran down her spine as she remembered how the Empress, consumed by jealousy, had resorted to all sorts of schemes to eliminate Lysei, the recipient of the Emperor’s affections.

‘Speaking of which, when is he coming?’
Now that she realized her feelings for Edin were reciprocated, the time they spent apart felt excruciatingly slow. She’d always had a passionate nature, but the constant replay of their intimate moments in her mind made her want to exercise to distract herself from the all-consuming desire. Like a lovesick maiden, Lysei longed for Edin every moment, yearning to hold him, to embrace him, to… have him.
Click.
It seemed Edin felt the same. The door opened earlier than usual, and his handsome face filled her vision.
“You’re early tod— Mmmf!”
The moment he entered, Edin urgently captured her lips, showering her with a kiss so intense she could barely breathe. As if to express the agony of their brief separation, he explored every corner of her mouth, nipping and licking her tongue before entwining it with his own. Finally breaking the kiss, Edin pulled her into a bone-crushing embrace, murmuring desperately, “I thought I’d go mad missing you.”
Truly, this man seemed incapable of playing games when it came to love.
“I missed you too.” So Lysei decided not to play games either. What was the point? Especially with a man who so clearly desired her.
Stroking Edin’s hair as he nuzzled her, inhaling her scent with evident pleasure, Lysei asked, “Are you hungry? Or am I hungrier?”
‘Where has this woman been all my life?’ Edin wondered. He couldn’t resist the allure of this incredibly lovable woman. He lifted her onto the bed and settled on top of her. Her words, “Or am I hungrier?” had already snapped the last thread of his self-control.
Even though they made love until they collapsed every day, he still yearned for her, cherished her, and desired her with an insatiable hunger. He quickly undressed Lysei, parting her legs and kneeling between them. He cupped her exposed s3x, kneading and caressing it. He rubbed his palm against her, then gently spread her folds with two fingers. The revealed intimacy was already glistening with ar0usal.
