Nothing had been confirmed yet, but Seonghyun was convinced.

However, he was puzzled about why the place recommended by the association would create such a situation.

“Shall we postpone exercising for next time…?”

His mother looked concerned about exercising too, so she answered Seonghyun, who chuckled in response.

“Yes, next time.”

Back in his room, Seonghyun immediately called Inhwan and Sang-yeon.

Originally, he was supposed to participate in hunting in the gate tomorrow, but something more important had come up, so he couldn’t go.

Ending the call with hopes for a peaceful resolution to the family matter, Seonghyun murmured to himself,

“It’s been a while since I’ve been to the association.”

He had no intention of wielding power with his current abilities. Seonghyun’s goal was solely the perfect extermination of the demons.

But if his family were to suffer because of this, then the situation would change.

The next day, Seonghyun deliberately didn’t contact the association and headed there directly.

As the staff at the entrance recognized him, their surprised expressions quickly vanished, and before long, the secretary who had guided him before appeared.

“What brings you here? Both the chairman and vice-chairman are currently unavailable.”

The stern-faced secretary replied in a voice devoid of any emotion, and Seonghyun, equally expressionless, asked,

“I have something to inquire about.”

“Alright then, please follow me.”

As Seonghyun followed the secretary inside, the secretary offered him a cup of tea and said,

“If you’re here to inquire, then is it something I can help with?”

“It’s just a simple qeustion. A few days ago, the association provided educational support to my sister.”

“Oh, that’s what you’re referring to. Yes, that’s correct.”

“It’s about that. I want to know where the academy is located and who the instructor is.”

The secretary glanced at Seonghyun with a momentary look of puzzlement.

It struck him as curious that Seonghyun, rather than his sister who was receiving the education, was asking the association for information about her schooling.

“Understood.”

But the secretary dispelled all doubts.

Seonghyun’s current concern was getting answers to his questions, and he wouldn’t entertain any further inquiries.

“The sessions are conducted in a tutoring format, although it’s referred to as an academy.”

The secretary meticulously provided Seonghyun with all the details regarding the location, format, timing, and the instructor of the tutoring sessions.

“Is there anything else you’d like to know?”

“This is sufficient. Thank you.”

Seonghyun bid a brief farewell and promptly left the association.

The reason Seonghyun visited the association today was simple.

While these were questions he could have asked his mother, he deliberately chose to come to the association.

From the association’s perspective, Seonghyun’s decision to inquire directly could raise suspicions, prompting them to take their own investigative measures.

It was an opportunity for the association.

When Seonghyun found himself in a situation he hadn’t anticipated today, he hoped that the association would show some movement.

That would make it easier to forgive.

“Since the lessons start in the evening…”

Thinking about how to spend the time until then, Seonghyun decided to head towards an open area nearby. Hyein finished her school lessons and headed straight to her tutoring session.

‘I don’t want to go…;

It wasn’t just the usual whining; it was a deep-seated reluctance.

The humiliating remarks that accompanied the tutoring from start to finish made each day more exhausting.

But she couldn’t just refuse to go.

The association had described it as a process that could increase the likelihood of unlocking abilities at the age of 20, and it was also an opportunity to learn many other things.

Upon arriving at the building where the tutoring was to take place, Hyein let out a deep sigh and entered.

“Hello…”

“Oh, is it our Hyein? Come on in and have a seat.”

A middle-aged man with a friendly smile naturally guided Hyein to her seat, placing his hand on her shoulder.

“So, have you thought about it?”

“Uhh, yes?”

“Forget already? Come on… Let me say it again. You know I’m famous in this field, right? It won’t take long! Just spend some time with me, and I’ll make sure you get good lessons and studies.”

“Um, well…”

“Oh, don’t be so greedy. It’s common in this field.”

Hyein shivered for a moment at the chilling touch felt through her hair.

“Haha, even your trembling is quite cute, huh? You’ll have your answer by tomorrow, right?”

“P-Professor, I…”

“Oh dear, making a hasty decision is irreversible. Take your time until tomorrow. Just a slight deviation… and a bright future awaits.”

The professor sat close to Hyein, opening a book.

“We should continue the lesson, right? Since I’m not speaking loudly, please stick close to me again today?”

Although today was relatively less intense, Hyein tried hard to focus on the lesson while biting her lower lip.

But then, they heard a knocking sound from outside.

“Hmm? Who could it be? I don’t like being disturbed during tutoring…”

The professor, slightly annoyed at the interruption of their private time, furrowed his brow and headed towards the door.

“Who is it? We’re in the middle of a lesson. How did you even know about this place?”

But there was no response to the professor’s question.

Once again, the knocking echoed through the room.
