Chapter 10
“You son of a b*tch!”
A spark ignited in the clear blue eyes that had been clouding over. With a decisive, fierce touch, Seikan’s eyes widened, fixing on Adelina before a smile played on his lips.
“You know, touching me might not be the best idea.”
“Shut up! Just shut up!” Unable to contain the flood of emotions that had erupted, she unleashed her fury.
“I… I waited for this day with all my heart, and you! How could you do this to me? Love? Give it to the dogs! You love me? Don’t be ridiculous! Oh, honestly!”
Her small fists rained down on him, striking his head, back, and arms indiscriminately. She hit him with such force that he worried for her hands.
“You ruined everything! This wasn’t part of my plan! Why did you have to drink that… Ugh!”
Seikan, staggering, lifted her slender, attacking form and laid her down on the sofa where he had been sitting. Adelina was thrown onto the wide, bed-like sofa, and as he leaned over her, his shadow fell across her pale face.
“You…!”
Pinned beneath his large frame, her wrists caught in his grasp, Adelina struggled fiercely to break free. For a fleeting moment, Seikan debated whether to rip her loose priestly robes.
‘Waiting is so hard… should I just do it? She’ll forgive me eventually, even if she’s a little angry.’
Pressing down on the soft body he so desperately craved, he brought his aching lower body flush against hers. Adelina, struggling with all her might, froze as she felt the hard length against her thigh. The sight of her eyes trembling with shock sent a thrill of possessive desire through him.
Just then, he felt a jarring impact against the divine barrier he had woven around the entire building. Like ripples on a lake struck by a stone, the barrier distorted. Seikan’s brow furrowed in unison.
‘Who could it be? This unwelcome guest, trying to intrude from outside?’
‘It can’t be Reynard or Helion.’ His friends, who had reluctantly relinquished their chance at Adelina, would keep their word. ‘Then it must be Crown Prince Clovis.’
The Crown Princess had purchased the house, so Clovis could have easily discovered its location with minimal effort. He’d likely panicked when Seikan didn’t appear at the banquet.
‘What a fool.’
Seikan coldly assessed Clovis, who was likely causing a commotion outside the barrier. The man was in a more advantageous position than Seikan or his friends, yet he couldn’t acknowledge his own feelings, constantly sabotaging himself by saying spiteful things to Adelina.
‘What’s so great about status anyway?’
He was just a childish fool, picking on Adelina because he couldn’t admit to himself that he’d fallen for a common orphan. If Seikan were in Clovis’s shoes, he would have claimed Adelina during the five months the paladins were away, fighting the Monster King. Clovis squandering such a golden opportunity was pathetic, but Seikan was grateful.
He didn’t try to force his muddled thoughts any further. Instead, he released his hold on Adelina.
“Adelina.”
Suddenly freed, Adelina scrambled away. Looking directly into her bewildered, clear eyes, Seikan tore a long strip from his discarded shirt. Adelina’s already wide eyes grew even larger as he used the cloth to bind his own hands.
“If I don’t do this, I’m afraid I might hurt you.”
Smiling faintly, Seikan lay back down where he had just held Adelina, his hands securely bound. He closed his eyes with a pious expression, as if entrusting his fate entirely to her. He could clearly sense Adelina’s hesitation. He had to bite the inside of his cheek to suppress his smile.
‘Just a little longer… I’ll release the barrier soon. And I’ll show the Crown Prince. I’ll show him Adelina accepting me of her own free will, while I lie here bound.’
His breath hitched as warmth approached his sensitized skin. His heightened senses registered the fear in Adelina’s trembling hands as she fumbled with his trousers. The moment she undid them, his hardened length sprang free, even more imposing than usual. It was no wonder Adelina gasped.
“It’s too… Ah, I don’t think it will… fit.”
Her voice trembled like an aspen leaf. He wanted to leap up and shower her with kisses.
‘She’s so adorable, it’s driving me crazy. Where’s that boldness she had when she lectured me about my duties, standing so tall and proud?’
‘I want to devour every single hair on her head.’
Seikan felt close to cl*maxing from her voice alone, but he chanted the hymns he’d memorized in the Grand Temple to hold himself back.
Finally, seemingly resolute, Adelina straightened. The rustling of her oversized robes. The whisper of thin fabric sliding against skin. The soft thud of something light falling onto the carpet.
“J-Just… until you cl*max once. That’s the condition for the succubus blood antidote.”
