Chapter 69
I punched Helion, who was subtly trying to embrace me. Wham! Bam!
“Why are you running away?! If you’re going to strip, strip here, you mutt!”
A sudden surge of determination—the absolute need to strip him right here, right now—ignited within me.
Following Helion’s earlier instructions, I swung my fists with my thumbs tucked in, relentlessly pushing forward. Helion stumbled backward, eventually collapsing.
I climbed onto his stomach and grabbed his thin shirt, ripping at it.
“Lina, wait!”
“Shut up! Ugh!”
It wasn’t coming off easily, so I decided to just rip off all the buttons. But then, right before my eyes, the buttons multiplied from three to two, then back to one. The bizarre behavior of the self-proliferating and then disappearing buttons made my head spin.
However, after considerable effort, I achieved the momentous feat of tearing off every single button.
Filled with the triumphant satisfaction of victory, I raised my head. In my blurry vision, I saw people who shouldn’t be there.
“Adelina…”
I gave the bewildered handsome man a crooked smile and tossed a ripped-off button at him.
“What? You here to strip too?”
The nimble Seikan caught the flying button without difficulty. He then cast a look at Helion, whose upper body was exposed beneath me, demanding an explanation.
Helion, with a troubled expression, shook his head.
And Clovis, who was standing next to Seikan… Clovis…
I fumbled around, searching for another button to throw at Clovis. Oh. The buttons are too far. What a shame. Anything else to throw?
A knife would be nice. I could dramatically throw it and end things quickly and cleanly.
“Lina? Are you dizzy?”
Dizzy? Can’t you see? The ground is shaking, that’s why.
You’re supposed to be educated. Why can’t you grasp the situation? Why is this expensive imperial ground shaking so precariously?
I wished for something to lean on, and a warm, flesh-toned wall helpfully approached. As I leaned my cheek against the smooth wall, my heavy eyelids slid closed.
“What a spectacle.”
A cold, clicking tongue irritated my nerves.
“After causing such a commotion with your nonsense and making people rush over here in a panic, you’re in this state, in this place.”
“This place? That’s a highly disrespectful remark… hmm.”
This is a place where people come and go, a place built by the valuable members of the empire. For the future emperor to speak like that is contrary to the basic principles of a monarch, as repeatedly stated by Scholar Wizdin in his writings.
“I have no desire to hear a lecture on monarchy from you. Get up.”
Wow. Now you have mind-reading abilities too. Your Highness, you’re truly amazing.
“What? Ha… Your drunken rambling is truly diverse…”
Drunken rambling… Who’s rambling? Where are they? The person who’s rambling?
I looked around to find the rambler. But each time I turned my head, the ground shook, making even that simple movement a struggle.
“Uh…”
Where did everyone go? The owner and the customers were here. Two tables full of them.
“Adelina. You look dizzy, so stop turning your head. I sent everyone else away.”
“We couldn’t very well advertise the spectacle of a drunk woman pinning down a man and undressing him. What, are you disappointed that you can’t flaunt your wild night?”
Seikan and Clovis spoke in turn. A wild night… Right, I said I’d have one.
But with whom? Everyone here is repulsive.
Still…
“The view is nice.”
I grinned, admiring the flesh-toned wall in front of me.
Perfectly sculpted muscles and a golden ratio physique. Broad shoulders and long, lean lines. Truly one of God’s chosen male protagonists.
If you’re going to reincarnate me, why not give me a body like this? Why an orphan with no power and no background?
“Li, Lina…”
“I’m envious…”
I wish I could just die peacefully. But if I die and am reborn, please let me be reborn as a strong and powerful man with a body like this.
“Wait. Touching me like that is… uh…”
As I caressed the sculpted body with fervent longing, Helion gritted his teeth and moaned.
The smooth skin over his firm muscles radiated a pleasant warmth, making it delightful to touch. I understood the psychology of gym rats who crave this kind of physique, and I nodded in agreement.
As I trailed my hand up his defined abs toward his chest, my arms were seized from both sides.
“Adelina. I think you should stop.”
“Do you really intend to sleep with Marquis Helion Zig right here?”
Am I crazy? For whose benefit?
I looked at Clovis, who was furiously fuming, with drowsy eyes.
I didn’t have the slightest intention, but hearing him say that made my rebellious side stir.
“It’s not like I, hic, couldn’t.”
“Adelina!”
Seikan yelled instead of the teeth-gritting Clovis.
I blinked slowly at Seikan. Why is he shouting? What right does he have?
“Then, hic, you strip too.”
