Chapter 88
But my attention was immediately captured by Clovis. He caressed my face as if it were his own, then glanced at Reynard.
“Shouldn’t you pull out now?”
“If the exchange of fluids is key, wouldn’t it be better to keep it in?”
“Then I’ll…”
“I will!”
“In that case, allow me!”
Clovis’s words were cut off by the simultaneous shouts of Seikan and Helion. They had been intently observing the three intertwined bodies on the bed. Both rose abruptly and faced each other.
After a moment of mutual suspicion, Helion spoke first. “If it’s just a matter of keeping it in, I’ll do it. It’s more important to mingle with as many as possible, rather than just the two of you.”
“Wh…mph!”
“Yes. Ultimately, Adelina’s recovery is our priority.”
My attempt to protest was stifled by Clovis’s fingers slipping inside my mouth. Reynard nodded, disregarding my wishes entirely, and Helion promptly shed his clothes and climbed onto the bed.
“Mmmph! Mmph!”
“Lina, you’ve been through so much, haven’t you? Don’t look so frightened. Tonight, I’ll just keep it in.”
As if that was any comfort.
The moment Reynard withdrew his considerable length, Helion thrust his already swollen member into my wet opening.
“Haah!”
“Ahh… Lina…”
Helion shifted his weight, pressing his body against mine. The hard, writhing intrusion twitched within my loosened core.
My cry of protest was silenced by the pressure of fingers against my tongue.
Perhaps I should be grateful that Seikan hadn’t joined this… 0rgy.
Resigned to their whims, I closed my eyes.

The following morning, Lumiere greeted me with a look that filled me with a profound sense of shame. He simply took one look at me and said, “Ah. You did it.”
Then he calmly pulled a small notebook from his pocket and began to write something down.
“…Can you tell just by looking at my face?”
“I’m not a fortune teller. But you were on the verge of death, Adelina.”
“…Yes.”
Lumiere proceeded to bombard me with serious questions like, “How many?” and “How many times?” I wanted the earth to swallow me whole.
“Adelina? Why the long face?”
“I’m disgusted with myself.”
“Why?”
“Because!”
Wasn’t it obvious? I had told Lumiere I’d rather die than sleep with them, when he said it was necessary for my survival. How long had it been since I’d said those words? And now, not only had I slept with them, but I had also cried out in pleasure!
Lumiere seemed completely oblivious to my inner turmoil.
“Is that so bad?”
“Isn’t it strange? I… I’m not that kind of…”
“As I said before,” Lumiere snapped his small notebook shut and tucked it away, looking directly at me. “Strictly speaking, you’re the victim here, Adelina. Why not use their bodies to reverse the damage they inflicted?”
“What?”
“I’ve heard there are countless people who engage in meaningless, emotionless s3x, driven purely by desire. You seem unduly harsh on yourself.”
“But…”
But it was strange. I had hated them, despised them for violating my body. I wanted them dead. But if I was aroused by their touch, didn’t that make me some kind of wanton creature?
“Objectively speaking, even considering the differences in our races, those four are incredibly attractive. There would be no shortage of women throwing themselves at their feet. Yet, they’re fixated on you. You didn’t pursue them, so why the self-loathing?”
But they weren’t meant for me. If I welcomed them so readily, what did that make all the years I had endured?
“Humans live such short lives compared to me and my kind, but I’ve heard those lives are intensely lived. I understood that intellectually, but I never truly grasped its meaning. Observing you, Adelina… I think I’m finally beginning to understand.”
Lumiere smiled at me. It was a smile that felt like standing beneath an ancient tree in the heart of a deep forest.
“Just ease up on your self-judgment. The desire to live, the excitement you feel for an attractive body… these are natural things for any living being.”
My heart pounded. Perhaps his words struck such a chord because they were exactly what I needed to hear, coming from someone of a race dedicated to the pursuit of truth.
Hesitantly, I changed the subject. If I didn’t, I knew I would break down and ask Lumiere how he knew exactly what I was feeling.
“The Crown Prince might give you a hard time. He might ask why you didn’t explain things to him properly, even though you knew.”
“You were worried about that?” Lumiere chuckled. “Don’t concern yourself. I’m here at the Crown Prince’s request, but strictly speaking, he’s not my lord or bound to me by any contract.”
“But weren’t you supposed to receive his eyes in exchange for your services?”
“That was an implicit agreement for compensation upon your full recovery… and to be honest, right now, your body is far more enticing.”
