But even with only the tip pushing inside, something seemed to block him tightly, making it nearly impossible to enter.

“Relax.”

He tried to steady his breathing as he gave the advice.

But the body of a woman who had never experienced a man only tightened further at the entrance.

“Kh…”

Kallion let out a strangled groan as though something had wrapped around his throat.

Even though only the very tip had entered, sweat poured across his entire body, and he could barely breathe properly.

Juliana also drew in a breath at the unfamiliar and frightening sensation.

“Hk…!”

She tried to endure it, but the tears kept forcing their way out.

Even she didn’t understand them.

Was she crying because her situation was so pathetic and humiliating?

‘Don’t cry, Juliana. You have to do this anyway if you want to meet Denion. Don’t cry.’

The more she tried to steady herself, the more sob-like sounds escaped between her lips.

“Damn it!”

In the end, he cursed harshly and abruptly straightened.

He hadn’t even managed to fully press the tip inside her.

He could have forced his way in with sheer strength if he wanted to, but for some strange reason, her tears drained the strength from him.

No.

Even having only the swollen tip pressed slightly into her entrance had already brought him so close to release that it was embarrassing.

But for some reason, her tears continued to bother him, and he couldn’t bring himself to do anything more.

Moving far away from the bed, he turned his back and breathed roughly as though trying to calm his arousal.

Then he quickly threw on the clothes scattered across the floor.

Juliana stared blankly at his back and moved her lips.

“Why…”

He roughly pulled on the shirt with all its buttons torn off, and without even looking in her direction, he muttered in a badly cracked voice.

“Sorry, but I’m not interested in sleeping with a crying woman.”

Leaving those words behind, Kallion coldly walked out of the room.

Juliana had been lying nearly naked across the bed.

She slowly righted herself and stared up at the ceiling.

Countless emotions raged inside her.

Humiliation and shame.

And opposite them, relief, as well as anxiety that her chance to meet Denion had been delayed yet again.

Juliana buried her face in both hands and silently sobbed.

Tears continued flowing from the corners of her eyes, soaking into the sheets.

After that day, Kallion ignored me so coldly that it felt as though a freezing wind blew whenever he passed.

It would be more accurate to say he treated me as though I didn’t exist at all, refusing even to look at me.

Was it because his behavior toward me had become so obviously cold?

Or had rumors begun circulating that I had leaked Baldomer’s confidential business information to Silverstel?

The servants’ gazes toward me had also grown cold, just as they had been when I first entered the estate.

It made all the work I had done managing the estate perfectly as its lady seem meaningless.

I didn’t care whether they or Kallion treated me coldly.

But I did think I needed to clear myself of the false accusation that I had leaked Baldomer’s secrets.

So I called Layla to the drawing room.

“I heard you called for me, Madam.”

I calmly lifted my teacup while looking at Layla, who sat across from me with a gentle smile.

Kate, who had served the tea, understood my glance and tactfully left the room.

“Take back the lie that I leaked confidential information to Silverstel.”

At my direct words, Layla’s eyes widened slightly.

Then she softly curved her lips into a smile.

“Madam. I merely reported to Lord Kallion exactly what I saw.”

My grip tightened around the teacup.

Fortunately, my hand didn’t tremble in an unsightly way.

“Are you talking about that half-burned letter? It was nothing more than a letter asking after my health.”

Layla smiled at my cold words.

“The beginning was completely burned away, so there’s no way to know what was actually written there. I merely gave Lord Kallion part of that half-burned letter and told him there was no sender written on the envelope.”

With that, Layla leisurely lifted her teacup.

“I never told Lord Kallion that you leaked confidential information, Madam. He heard everything and made that judgment himself.”

After finishing, Layla smiled confidently.

“If Lord Kallion trusted you, Madam, he never would have suspected you over something like this.”

My hand tightened around the teacup before I realized it.

What made me even angrier was that Layla wasn’t wrong.

I never should have exchanged letters with Lloyd.

No.

If I had simply not burned his letter, would none of this have happened?

No.

In the end, every arrow would still have pointed at me.

Because Kallion denied my very existence and despised me.
