Chapter 82
He looked as though he were holding something back, or perhaps as though he were angry.
“Don’t act like you’re putting some cheap object on display, Juliana.”
Kallion growled through clenched teeth.
“You’re the one who treated me like a cheap woman.”
Perhaps because of his anger, his breathing had grown rough as he spoke in a badly cracked voice.
“Did you act like this in front of that bastard too?”
“What if I did?”
That was when it happened.
He roughly seized my wrist and yanked me toward him.
I barely had time to register my body pitching forward before his other hand wrapped around the back of my neck.
Unable to pull away in time, I felt his ragged breath brush the edge of my lips from only inches away.
And before I could come to my senses, his hot lips covered mine.
I belatedly struggled to escape him, but I couldn’t break free beneath the force with which he pulled my waist and the back of my neck tightly against him.
I fought desperately not to open my mouth.
But because my breathing had grown ragged, my lips parted instinctively as I tried to draw breath.
His tongue didn’t miss the opening and forced its way inside.
It was a merciless, ferocious kiss, like prey struggling to escape while a beast tried to tear out its throat.
In the end, I bit his lip as hard as I could.
His shoulders stiffened with a flinch, and only then did he slowly draw his lips away.
Blood had welled at the corner of his mouth.
As Kallion licked the blood away with the tip of his tongue, a dangerous light rippled in his eyes.
That gaze sent a chill down my spine.
But only for a moment, because his lips descended on mine again, even more savage than before, as though he meant to swallow me whole.
I struck his back with all my strength and even dug my nails into his thick arms, but the more I resisted, the more violently he forced his way in.
A metallic, stinging taste filled my mouth.
Because I had been biting relentlessly in my frantic resistance, both my lips and the inside of my mouth were filled with the taste of blood.
I had taken it for granted that I would sleep with him in order to have Denion, but I had never imagined kissing him.
Much less that we would kiss like this, so brutally forceful that we were practically tearing at each other.
Eventually, I no longer had the strength to resist.
I gave up and surrendered everything to the savage beast ravaging my mouth.
Right.
If this would at least lead to us sleeping together.
If that one act would allow me to have Denion, perhaps it would be better this way.
At some point, his large, hard hand pushed aside the undergarment covering my b****t.
Along with the goosebump-inducing chill of the air touching my skin, a man’s large, knuckled hand closed around the sensitive flesh.
I flinched in surprise for the briefest moment, then let all the strength drain from my body like a doll.
Unlike the way I had been fighting him so fiercely moments ago, I now reacted like a piece of wood.
Kallion stopped moving.
He broke the kiss and looked down at me with eyes clouded darkly.
Unlike him, who was highly aroused with either anger or heat, my expression as I looked up at him was painfully dry.
Staring down at me, he seemed to belatedly come to his senses.
He straightened and cursed harshly.
Then he muttered in a confused voice.
“Get out.”
Covering my exposed b****t with one arm, I looked at him impassively.
“Why? Can’t you go through with it this time either?”
At my calm words, he couldn’t even look in my direction.
He irritably swept back his bangs.
“I’m not in the mood, so get out.”
He had pinned me down however he pleased because he was angry, forced a kiss on me, and now he was telling me to leave.
The cold air against my bare skin chilled my chest even further.
It was humiliating.
I hated him so much I could hardly stand it.
I stared at Kallion, who was glaring out the window without even looking at me.
Then I slowly put my clothes back on and turned away.
Gritting my teeth so he wouldn’t see the wounds carved into my heart, I quietly left the room.
“Haah… Damn it…”
Kallion braced one hand against the wall and let out a self-mocking sigh.
He hadn’t intended to kiss her.
Even he couldn’t understand his own impulsive behavior just now.
Where had it all gone wrong?
When she mentioned Lloyd’s name?
When he became aroused like a dog in heat at the bare skin she exposed as if provoking him?
No.
It had gone wrong from the moment he started dreaming every night about sleeping with her like some inexperienced adolescent boy.
Kallion roughly swept back his bangs and let out a deep sigh.
For a long while, he remained frozen in place, unable to move.
