Chapter 33
“Please leave first. I’m extremely embarrassed right now, so let’s talk again tomorrow.”
“What the hell is this…”
This situation wasn’t anywhere in Bezel’s scenarios for a ‘pleasant night.’ No matter how much of a monster Eden was, she was no match for his strength. Bezel considered staying put, but recalling how comical the situation had become, he relaxed his body.
“Come on, go outside. Please go and get some sleep.”
Eden kindly escorted him all the way to the door.
Was he really leaving like this? Bezel, who found it absurd no matter how he thought about it, was about to ask sullenly, but before his lips could even move, the door that had spat him out slammed shut. A click followed, indicating that she had even locked the door.
“…How thorough.”
Bezel muttered just loud enough that it wouldn’t be heard inside. After standing there glaring at the door for a while, Bezel let out a heavy sigh and swept his golden hair back. Thick veins still stood out on his now exposed forehead, proof of his earlier excitement.
“What am I supposed to do when you kick me out like this?”
Bezel lowered his head to look at the taut bulge below. The unresolved, pent-up desire was irritating, but it wasn’t like he could pick the lock and go in to caress her like he had the previous night.
Well, today wasn’t entirely without results, so maybe he should just leave it at this for tonight.
He could wait for the night to deepen and visit again after she fell asleep, but Bezel had things to do tonight.
It had been three days since he sent Andre out. Since he had many connections, it was about time he’d gathered some news. He had given Andre two orders: find out what happened between Eden and Marbas, and figure out Eden’s taste in men.
He had already roughly heard the former at the bar, but it wouldn’t hurt to know more detailed information. There might even be something in it he could use to lure her. And the latter was the most necessary information in a situation like this.
‘Why did she suddenly reject me? Was the kiss not good?’
There was no way. Bezel narrowed his eyes and licked his lips that were still wet with the woman’s saliva.
‘Yeah, well. Maybe I just wasn’t her type.’
He didn’t really know what was going on, but he’d find out the exact reason once he met Andre and got the information. Bezel went into the small room and lay back on the mattress. With that, his preparations to meet Andre were complete.

“Lord Beelzebub!”
A face excited with joy suddenly burst through his darkened vision. Pushing away Andre who rushed forward as if wanting to be embraced, Bezel asked,
“The task I assigned you?”
“Oh my! Of course I completed it and returned! Since it was about none other than Lord Marbas, I did have to be a bit careful while going around investigating here and there, but since it wasn’t a sensitive matter and I was just digging up past achievements, it wasn’t too difficult.”
Andre was good, but this was his problem. He had too much unnecessary chatter when he could just give a clean report. However, it was true that compared to other incubi, his loyalty was high and his abilities were outstanding. This was why he kept him by his side and used him despite being a male-type rather than a female-type incubus.
“Would you like to see this first? I thought it would be faster to show you directly rather than explaining with words, so I brought it.”
Andre waved his hand in the air and a newspaper appeared. Making dreams into one’s own space was an incubus’s unique power. In dreams, everything was possible. Switching the positions of earth and sky, making existing things disappear, even creating things that didn’t exist.
Bezel took the newspaper and checked the date. It was a newspaper published about seven years ago. There was no need to even turn the page. A large photo of Eden’s face was printed on the front page of the newspaper. Since it was seven years ago, she looked much younger than she did now.
‘Her hair was black back then.’
Then again, white hair. It was a rare hair color to be born with naturally.
Considering that the clothes she wore were all gloomy black, it seemed unlikely that she deliberately bleached her hair. If he had to guess, her hair had turned white from the pain of being cursed. It could have been from the intense desire for revenge and stress. Either way, it wasn’t particularly important and it was all the same.
Below the photo of Eden, whose weary face stared vacantly into space, was a sensational headline written in large, bold letters.
<Attack of the Great Demon, Is Humanity Safe Like This?>
