As she turned a corner, a small courtyard suddenly appeared, bathed in bright sunlight. Inside the ‘ㄷ’ shaped flower bed, wooden benches were arranged in a circle, and the space was filled with all kinds of plants and fragrant flowers.

Without hesitation, Mina walked straight to one of the benches and collapsed onto it. Her legs were trembling so badly she couldn’t walk another step. Her limp state made her feel like some kind of invertebrate.

‘Seriously… there isn’t a single normal person in this world.’

Grumbling, Mina let out a deep sigh. Just because she was the Empress, she thought she could do anything? Was only her son precious? A s*x slave, seriously. This wasn’t the Roman era. It was utterly ridiculous.

It was Leopold.

Startled, Mina turned around, and her expression immediately stiffened. She had just come out after receiving terrifying threats from Tilda telling her not to get involved with him, and the very first person she ran into was the exact person she was supposed to avoid.

‘Wow… poor Kim Mina. Your luck really is unbelievably terrible!’

Leopold stood before her with a mischievous smile.

“What did the Empress say? She must have told you to prioritize me first, right?”

Every time he opened his mouth, nonsense came out. Mina immediately felt her temper flare at Leopold’s ridiculous assumption. For a moment she had the urge to lash out and vent her anger, but she barely suppressed it. She judged it wouldn’t accomplish anything.

No matter what she said, this lecher would surely twist it in whatever way benefited him.

“No. She told me to stay glued to Grand Duke Tessen.”

Feeling thoroughly irritated, Mina replied curtly.

“What…? That can’t be!”

Leopold burst out angrily.

Mina almost snorted but barely held it in. What was that baseless confidence of his? He wasn’t even a child. It was absurd.

“She said my Name absolutely must not appear on Your Highness, so I shouldn’t even come near you.”

Mina stomped the ground with her foot. Instantly she slid along the wooden bench, widening the distance between herself and Leopold by about the length of a person.

“What? Did you already forget what I said earlier?”

Leopold glared at her, who had suddenly moved far away.

“No, I remember everything.”

Mina muttered through clenched teeth. He had pretended to be concerned for his fiancée, but in truth he had just been anxiously scheming to protect his own life. She had seen it all.

They say if you see one thing you can understand ten. Just from his attitude now, the outcome was obvious. Even if Tilda hadn’t threatened her like a madwoman, it was now clear that Leopold was absolutely a man who couldn’t be trusted.

He had seemed like such a wonderful male lead in the novel, but in reality, he was nothing more than a pathetic delusional loser.

“What are you planning to do if your condition gets worse and you need my help? Do you really think you can handle everything alone without treatment?”

Leopold suddenly growled, and Mina involuntarily flinched. Just the thought that Leopold might be her Name pair made her head spin.
