“It wouldn’t be enough to cut off your tongue right now.”

Prince Camus, after throwing the whip aside, ordered that the bloodied Roned be thrown into prison.

“Your Highness, something terrible has happened!”

As the soldiers dragged the unconscious Roned away, a guard hurriedly came with a message.

“What is it?”

Prince Camus, already irritated by Roned, asked sharply.

“P-Prince Tarek has come to visit.”

“Tarek?”

Prince Camus froze for a moment. But it was only brief, as he soon clenched his teeth and jumped to his feet.

“That bastard has come to mock me.”

It hadn’t even been a few hours since Prince Camus had visited Prince Tarek’s palace. For Tarek to come now—his intention was all too obvious.

Arming himself with his sword, Prince Camus marched straight out of the palace.

“Have you come to ridicule me, Tarek?”

“Ridicule? I wouldn’t stoop to such behavior.”

Prince Tarek, standing at the front gate of Prince Camus’s palace, replied calmly.

To Camus’s surprise, Tarek looked remarkably composed. Despite the rumors that he’d spent the past few days drowning in alcohol and behaving like a degenerate. It would have been better if he had shown up staggering, looking like a wreck. Camus would have enjoyed mocking his miserable state.

But seeing Tarek in better shape than expected scratched heavily at Camus’s nerves.

“Then what are you here for?”

“I heard you came to visit me earlier today but left empty-handed. So, I’ve come to have a word.”

At those words, Camus ground his teeth.

“I reject anything you have to say.”

“I reject your rejection.”

Tarek sneered and gestured to the knight accompanying him. The knight handed Prince Tarek a small drum.

What is that?

As Camus frowned in confusion at the sight of the drum, Tarek raised a drumstick.

Boom! Boom-boom! Boom!

A deafening noise echoed in front of Prince Camus’s palace. The palace staff, who had been going about their day, halted abruptly as if their feet were caught in a trap. Everyone’s attention was immediately drawn to the commotion.

Camus’s frown deepened.

“What are you doing, Tarek—”

“Everyone, listen!”

Tarek’s booming voice reverberated through the air with incredible force.

“Prince Camus tried to kidnap Saintess Sarubia!”

What?

Camus’s jaw dropped.

What is that bastard saying?

“Tarek, you scoundrel! Shut your mouth this instant!”

Camus, flustered, shouted at Tarek. But Tarek ignored him completely. Instead of quieting down, he raised his voice even louder.

“Prince Camus truly attempted to kidnap the Saintess! I saw it with my own eyes!”

“What do you mean, you saw it! Shut that foul mouth of yours!”

“Unable to contain his burning passion, Prince Camus led his soldiers to my palace and attempted to abduct the Saintess!”

At Tarek’s proclamation, the onlookers gasped in shock.

It was a stunning accusation. Not only had Prince Camus unlawfully entered Prince Tarek’s palace, but he had also tried to kidnap the Saintess?

“Tarek!”

Camus’s face flushed red with anger as he screamed. A sword had already appeared in his hand.

“You dare spread lies like this! You must have a death wish!”

Consumed by rage, Camus charged at Tarek.

Ack!

Iruel quickly dodged out of the way. In an instant, Tarek’s bodyguards surrounded him.

Clang!

The sharp sound of metal clashing cut through the air. The bodyguards had blocked Camus’s sword.

“You filthy bastard! Offspring of a lowly concubine!”

Camus, pushed back by Tarek’s guards, raised his sword again, seething with fury.

“Your Highness, please calm down!”

The retainers who had followed Camus hastily took his sword from him.

No matter how rash the situation, a prince was still a prince. How could royal brothers threaten each other with blades? If the king found out, it would cause a huge scandal.

Even after being disarmed, Camus, overtaken by anger, stomped his feet in frustration.

“Let me go! I will settle this once and for all with that scoundrel!”

“And what exactly do you intend to settle with me? I’m not interested in settling anything, so if you want to, do it on your own.”

Iruel, pretending to be Prince Tarek, taunted Camus. It was time to put his years of experience at Viscount Justis’s house to use.

Camus’s face twisted at Tarek’s words.

“You wretched fool…!”

“The only thing that’s wretched here is your future, brother.”

Iruel casually jabbed, keeping a composed face.

“You really have no sense of restraint, do you?”

“Of course not. There’s so much to see in this world, how could someone as petty as you catch my eye?”

“Tarek!”

Unable to bear it any longer, Camus shoved his retainers aside and charged at Tarek again.

A dirty brawl broke out.

“You’ve clearly lost your mind! When the Crown Prince ascends to the throne, your head will be the first to roll!”

Finally grabbing Tarek by the collar, Camus threw a punch at him.
