Hello, Readers! I am celebrating my birthday with extra chapter updates, so please enjoy this special chapter release of 4 bonus chapters! 🥳

(Lurelia’s Birthday Bonus – Update 2/4 🎉)

♡ To all readers who purchased these chapters before my Birthday: I can’t express this enough – Thank you for your support. (*ˊᗜˋ*)/ᵗᑋᵃᐢᵏ ᵞᵒᵘ*

I tried to accept the unbelievable reality before me.

First, the Saint had left her room before I even arrived. Second, if I was a reincarnator, she said she was a possessor. And she had only possessed that body for 3 years.

Third, the Saint was an incredible chatterbox who surpassed even the maids. Since confirming each other’s identities, the Saint’s mouth had not stopped moving for a moment.

The Saint with black hair and blue eyes had a pure and cute appearance as described in the original story.

The way she tilted her head while looking at me aroused my protective instincts.

‘Though she lacks some awareness.’

I remained vigilant against the temple people searching for the Saint, extending my senses. The Saint, drinking her beverage, grumbled in a sulky voice.

“Unnie, so you’re not going to tell me your name until the end?”

“I told you, it’s Liat.”

“Not that, your real name. That’s just your fake name in this world. If it’s that kind of name, I’m Hel… mmph.”

“That name is forbidden.”

I forcibly pushed a piece of cake into the Saint’s mouth and gave her a look to be quiet. The Saint’s eyes became dreamy when they met mine.

I felt awkward at her gaze that seemed to be shouting her affection with her whole body.

‘It’s concerning.’

I didn’t expect her to show such affection toward someone she had just met. If I thought about myself when I had just been born in this world, I could understand.

Still, saying names in such an open place was problematic.

“I hope you haven’t forgotten that we snuck out.”

“You agreed to be casual with me. Speak informally. Unnie.”

“Fine. What do you want to do after eating cake?”

“I want to get our fortunes told together.”

…said the Saint who received divine revelations and could see the future. After thinking for a moment, I remembered seeing a couple of fortune-tellers in the square.

“Alright. A promise is a promise.”

The Saint, knowing that I had come from another world like herself, couldn’t hide her goodwill. She persistently asked for my “real name” until I was exhausted.

‘I’ve forgotten such things.’

It had already become blurry at a point when I had been reborn more than ten times.

I didn’t want to share such circumstances with the Saint who had (by my standards) just recently become a resident of this world. When I said I had a request, the Saint proposed first.

<If you do something I want to do together, I’ll listen to anything you ask!>

It was troublesome, but I had some time until my appointment with Gerard. And I understood how she felt, being locked underground as soon as she became the Saint.

The problem was that the Saint wasn’t cautious of her surroundings at all.

‘What if we’re discovered?’

While walking outside with the Saint, I heard the sound of armor. The temple knights seemed to have already figured out that the Saint had gone into town.

Looking at the window, I turned my head at the Saint’s lively voice.

“In a fantasy world, fortune-telling really tells you the future, right? I was curious if that’s really true.”

“Just fortune-telling?”

“Hmm. After that, I want to watch fireworks with you.”

I wondered if we could see fireworks when there wasn’t a festival. Setting aside practical concerns for a moment, I got up.

We needed to leave this place before the sound of armor got closer.

“If you’re done eating, let’s go.”

“Yes! Unnie!”

The Saint followed closely behind me as I left the cafe. The way she hurried to keep up looked like a duckling.

‘I was like that once too.’

During puberty, Tristan and Lucas suddenly grew much taller. Because of the difference in stride length, I struggled to keep up with them for a while.

At some point, they naturally adjusted to my pace. Now, with my improved physical strength, it wasn’t difficult to keep up even with the difference in stride.

I extended my hand to the Saint who was trying not to lose sight of me.

“Here. Take it. It’s easier to match your pace if we hold hands.”

“Unnie, you’re really sweet.”

When was the last time I heard that expression? It felt strange to hear words from my original world after so long.

Even though she had possessed the body for 3 years, which should have been enough time to get used to this world, the Saint looked at everything with wonder.

As if she had never really looked at anything closely before.

“Unnie, isn’t that puppy in the alley cute?”

“Do you like dogs?”

“They’re more friendly and cute than cats, aren’t they? Do you prefer cats, Unnie?”

“I’m not sure.”

The people around me knew my preferences better than I did. The only things I could confidently say I liked were a few sweet foods, just like when I was young.

After looking around the entire square, the Saint chose one tent.

“Unnie, let’s go there.”

At the entrance of the pointed tent was a sign indicating fortune-telling.

This would likely fulfill the Saint’s second wish.

‘We should hurry back.’

If we were late returning, Gerard would worry. I entered the fortune-teller’s tent with the Saint.

“Welcome.”

An old woman with braided hair looked up from shuffling cards. The interior atmosphere was well-matched to be eerie.

I sat down and glanced at the Saint. I was curious about what she wanted to see in a place like this.

The Saint declared boldly.

“Forget everything else, please check our love compatibility!”

“……”

After experiencing the major event of being possessed into a book, she wanted to know about love compatibility rather than the future or health? Regardless of my bewilderment, the old woman indifferently held out the cards.

“Each pick one card.”

The Saint picked a card with a seriousness I had never seen before. Caught up in the atmosphere, I also chose a card.

The old woman flipped over the two cards we had chosen.

***

The card the Saint chose had a burning tower drawn on it. After examining the card carefully, the old woman clicked her tongue.

“Single-minded, unable to see what’s around you, and suspicious by nature. It’s not good to wear a mask when dealing with people.”

“But I’m always sincere in front of Unnie.”

The old woman heard the Saint’s rebuttal but let it pass. The Saint, with a sullen expression, kept glancing at me.

She seemed worried that I might care about the fortune-teller’s reading.

‘It doesn’t seem to match.’

Her eyes didn’t look like someone putting on an act. She seemed like a child genuinely happy to meet a comrade from another world and wanting to become friends.

“You can take the fortune lightly.”

“…Unnie.”

The touched Saint’s blue eyes sparkled as she clasped her hands together.

The old woman, regardless, flipped over the card I had chosen. This time, it was a card with a knight holding a sword. Several spirits were also drawn beside the knight.

“This is a rare card. This one is also single-minded, but it comes from experience. Affectionate and quick to give your heart while pretending not to.”

The Saint confidently exclaimed as if she had known me for 10 years.

“Unnie is indeed affectionate.”

“You two haven’t even known each other for a full day, right?”

“The depth of one’s heart cannot be measured by the days we’ve met.”

“So is it accurate or not?”

The Saint bit her lip and remained silent. It was fascinating how her expressions changed so much in such a short time.

The Saint, openly showing her vexed expression, reluctantly agreed.

“…It’s accurate.”

The old woman, who had been flipping cards on her own, gave her reading.

“The compatibility between you two is the worst! One person hides their true feelings and suffers silently, while the other acts before speaking, so the timing is all wrong!”

“Aren’t you mistaken? I felt destiny with Unnie!”

“Even relationships that hurt each other can be destiny.”

“What kind of destiny is that?!”

The Saint begged to have her fortune read again, offering more money. The old woman, who was about to refuse, saw the gold coin the Saint offered and drew one more card.

The pupils buried between her wrinkled eyes held a strange light.

“Once, an opportunity will come to turn around a completely misaligned relationship. If you bend your beliefs then, you’ll have good compatibility.”

“When will that be?”

“How would I know?”

The Saint’s brow furrowed at the irresponsible tone. The old woman gestured for us to leave as if shooing away flies.

The Saint, though grumbling, obediently stood up. Just before leaving the tent, the old woman’s eyes looked me up and down.

The old woman left advice that wasn’t quite advice in a heavy voice.

“Sacrifice is not the answer.”

I let it pass, not understanding the context of her words.

The Saint had less energy after getting her fortune told.

Clumsy at consolation, I hesitated on how to comfort her. Just then, I noticed a sign on the right alley indicating a magic item shop.

It seemed like a place the Saint, who sought experiences in this unfamiliar world, would enjoy.

“Want to stop by? Fantasy worlds are famous for magic, too, right?”

Magic in this world replaced the role that science held in the original world. The Saint perked up at the mention of magic items and walked toward the shop.

As soon as we opened the door and entered, we heard arguing voices.

“Are you planning to pretend you don’t know after selling me something that was already broken?”

“Oh my, Magician. We do business with honesty and trust.”

“It seems the trust I know and the trust you speak of are different!”

“I can swear on all my relatives!”

The voice of the masked magician was too familiar. I tried to pull the Saint back outside before things got complicated.

At that moment, a magical wind arose and the door closed by itself.

“Liat. My sister, right?”

“Unnie, do you know this person?”

He, who had naturally summoned magic, moved in front of me. The robe fluttering while floating in the air and the purple irises visible behind the mask.

Tristan gazed at me with eyes that seemed to have much to say.

“Why is my sister, who should be at the mansion, in the capital?”

“You’ve mistaken me for someone else.”

“I wouldn’t fail to recognize my sister just because she’s wearing a robe. You recognized me right away too.”

That was because I heard his voice.

Knowing Tristan’s persistence, I quietly nodded. Tristan’s gaze shifted to the Saint who was peeking out from behind me.

“Is that your friend?”

At the word “friend,” the wariness disappeared from the Saint’s eyes.

The Saint grabbed Tristan’s hand and spoke warmly.

“Nice to meet you. Liat’s precious brother.”

“I like you.”

“I also find you very, very satisfactorily likable.”

The two people, each with their faces hidden by a robe and mask, held each other’s hands and shook them vigorously. The warm atmosphere gave me goosebumps.

It was a precarious friendship since neither knew the other’s identity.

‘Tristan is a mid-boss, though.’

The Saint still didn’t know that I was the Grand Princess. To explain this, I would have to start with Juno’s death.

“Let’s move to a quieter place.”

I spoke, conscious of the shop owner watching us.

Tristan understood my intention and summoned magic. With a bright light, the space around us changed.
