Chapter 91
Arietta momentarily forgot where she was. The acrid scent of the downstream air had vanished from her nose first. All she could smell was Isaac’s fragrance.
Her toes teetered unsteadily on the ground, but it didn’t matter. Isaac was there to support her. She entrusted her full weight to him. As always, his thick, firm arms wrapped around her waist.
A soft moan escaped Arietta’s lips as they pressed against each other. Both the man touching her and the one merely watching shivered slightly.
Isaac delved deeper. He seemed focused on Arietta but suddenly opened his eyes, glancing over at Benjamin, who was fixated on them from the side.
Arietta instinctively sensed his attention waning. Her slender, pale hand rose to Isaac’s cheek. As she instinctively pulled him closer, Isaac smirked at Benjamin before closing his eyes again.
The intertwining of their lips and the exchange of saliva were stark. Benjamin covered his mouth; to him, the scene was too vulgar and stimulating.
Moreover, watching Arietta cling to Isaac was unsettling. Yet, he couldn’t tear his eyes away. A strange heat began to rise in his lower body.
Isaac eventually backed Arietta against the wall. The kiss intensified, causing Arietta’s eyebrows to furrow. Isaac knew what was happening without needing to lift her skirt.
His thigh pushed between her legs, pressing against her. Arietta’s chest was crushed against Isaac.
Gripping her wrist tightly, Isaac felt her pulse racing erratically. It felt like his head was spinning.
This woman responds to me.
The proof of it was a complex stimulus.
Isaac relentlessly ravaged Arietta’s lips. She never told him to stop, instead wrapping her arms around his shoulders and clinging to him.
As if there were only the two of them in the world.
A flush spread across Arietta’s body, a signal of arousal. Isaac was swept up in an impulse he found hard to swallow.
But the kiss ended there.
Their fiercely rubbed lips were now swollen. A long, transparent thread stretched between them. Isaac lowered his eyes, sending a cold smirk.
“I feel nothing.”
Yet his eyes burned, as if they could pierce Arietta’s soul.
“I could abandon you, Arietta.”
Arietta, unable to speak, gasped for breath. Her chest heaved greatly. Isaac placed his hand over it, gently pressing down to feel her heartbeat.
Like a small animal struggling in his palm.
It satisfied him.
He kept his hand there until her heartbeat steadied a bit, then turned away without a word.
Arietta watched as Isaac got into his car, the wheels spinning a few times before driving out of the estate’s garden.
Her wet lips tingled.
She wiped them with the back of her hand, still gazing outside.
“Let’s go inside.”
Arietta said.

Bruises had formed on her tightly gripped wrist.
Benjamin stared in shock at the blue marks on Arietta’s wrist.
It seemed unimaginable for someone of noble blood to handle a woman so roughly.
He personally applied a healing patch to her wrist. Arietta thought it unnecessary, but she let Benjamin do as he wished.
“Take me to the Sky City.”
Arietta said emotionlessly.
The kiss with Isaac had made one thing clear. As long as she remained on this land, she would be constantly tempted. Tempted to stay.
Over time, the desire to settle down would grow stronger, blurring her purpose. Then it would just repeat. Arietta didn’t want such an ending.
“Take me there.”
Arietta demanded firmly of Benjamin.
His gaze on her was complex. Usually honest, today it seemed slightly anxious and blurred.
“What’s wrong?”
Arietta asked bluntly.
Benjamin sighed lightly, as if coming back to his senses. His face reddened, perhaps embarrassed by what he was about to say.
“…I found nothing in the forest.”
Arietta felt a headache coming on. Had he gone into the forest to prove himself in the search? Alone?
