Even as she approached, her rabbit ears continued to twitch, conveying their owner’s feelings. Undoubtedly, the beastfolk were structured differently from humans and found it challenging to hide their true feelings. As Ruby drew near, Ivan wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her onto his lap.
“Ah!”
Placing Ruby on his thighs, he leaned back against the backrest, looking down at her in a relaxed posture. Although it wasn’t his heat cycle, having engaged in intimate relations for over two days left Ivan feeling invigorated.
“There’s nothing particularly surprising about this position, is there?”
It was as if he was saying that they had done more daring things than this. Ruby’s cheeks turned slightly red. Ivan, subtly brushing her blushing cheeks with his thumb, continued.
“You acted so boldly before, why do you look so gloomy now?”
“…It’s nothing.”
“Being cheeky is one thing, but oddly, this side of you is more discomforting.”
Ruby wanted to ask why the Duke cared so much, but she couldn’t bring herself to say anything. Ivan’s gaze was sincere. She felt that he genuinely cared about her, making it difficult for her to respond with her usual boldness.

Ivan looked at the pink ears that were drooping and lifted them up with his hands.
“Hmm.”
“Should I have touched your ears while you were in heat? Just touching like this can be enough.”
“Huff, stop touching…”
“You need to get used to the sensation. But, I wonder if you can handle it since you’re so sensitive.”
While speaking, he continued to move his hands. As his firm fingertips delved into her ears, Ruby shivered involuntarily.
“Oh, this reaction is just like the one you showed when you were stimulated.”

“When I used to suck you down below, your whole body would go crazy.”
As he reminisced, Ruby felt heat surging through her entire body. The heat cycle had clearly ended, so why was she reacting like this?
“Biting your lips is not a good habit. Try not to reveal your feelings if possible,” Ivan said, using his fingertips to gently press her lower lip that she was nibbling.
Even though he didn’t exert much force, Ruby released her lower lip as he wanted.

“I’m not saying to put in so much effort to make your face turn red. You should think that ears and tails are unnecessary.”
Listening to Ivan’s explanation, Ruby, who had been trying her best to follow his instructions, opened her mouth, looking at him with eyes that seemed like she could not agree with what he had just said.
“Ears and tails are natural parts of the animal body.”
“Sure, you’re right. I’m not denying that.”
“But you said to think they’re unnecessary.”
“I meant to get used to the sensation, not to actually get rid of them.”
“…Yes, I understand.”
“Don’t think about anything else. Focus on perfectly maintaining the appearance of a human, as I said.”
“Yes.”
As Ruby concentrated on the ear-training, she forgot that she was sitting on Ivan’s thigh, facing him.
Ivan, comfortably resting against the back of the sofa, quietly observed Ruby’s efforts, rubbing her delicate waist gently with both hands.
It was the area he had touched throughout her heat cycle. The two of them, unaware of the significantly diminished distance between them, remained entirely oblivious.
