Chapter 25
Once his prayer ended, the swirling turmoil in his heart calmed. The impurities settled to the bottom, leaving only clear water gently lapping in his chest. A refreshed smile touched the High Priest’s lips.
He secretly summoned the temple’s shadow agents and ordered them to surveil Drémoor Castle. He needed to know who had laid hands on the princess to take appropriate measures. Branding them a heretic and burning them at the stake seemed the cleanest solution.
‘Surely it couldn’t be that hound of the emperor, Zeke.’
The Zeke that Ruasil had observed did, true to his reputation, have a face more ascetic than a priest’s. But he still couldn’t let his guard down. The Princess of Roang radiated such a powerful aura of lust that she could seduce any man.
Moreover, he had also sensed the energy of Kinamun on Zeke. It was probably transferred from being near the princess, but…
‘How utterly unpleasant.’
Mulling over his displeasure, Ruasil knelt once more before Erios. It was to quell the undignified turbulence of his emotions.
Tomorrow, right after the dawn prayer, I will go to Drémoor Castle, he vowed, demurely folding his hands.

Three days had passed since Ruasil began visiting Drémoor Castle.
If Kallist sought me out as dusk fell to disturb my sleep, then Ruasil came at the break of dawn and tormented me for as long as the sun was in the sky. I wasn’t sure which was better; I was just dead tired. And I was always hungry. Although I managed to eat some food during the Ritual of Purification (read as: rituals, written as: s*x), I felt endlessly famished, probably from overexerting my body.
In the novel, Sylvia was said to eat like a bird, but if you’re going to endure a long journey of s*x with male leads, eating that little just won’t cut it. I had asked Zeke to bring me a late-night snack around midnight, and he brought it along with a fatigue recovery potion.
Today, just like always, I passed out as soon as Ruasil left around four and woke up reflexively to the smell of food. Midnight sharp. Zeke was as precise as ever.
“You’re awake. Please eat.”
“Thank you.”
I first tossed back the fatigue recovery potion and then drank the smoothly cooked meat soup straight from the bowl. I didn’t care about a princess’s dignity; surviving came first.
Zeke, who had been standing at a distance watching me quietly, soon turned to leave. Him sitting opposite me and keeping me company that one time remained the only instance. It must have been a whim of his. Or maybe, since he’s human too, he was just exceptionally bored that day.
‘That block of wood shows no signs of doing such a thing…’
My memory of when Zeke started to move in the original story was hazy. The only thing certain was that it was after Ruasil’s visits began. But even with Ruasil frequently coming and going from my bedroom, I didn’t notice any particular change in Zeke’s behavior.
I mulled over the original plot for a moment before quickly giving up and flopping down onto the bed. Holding onto unsolvable worries or curiosities for too long isn’t my style. I was satisfied with my current life, so I decided to just go with the flow from now on, steeling my resolve.
Rubbing my sleepy eyes, I buried my face in the pillow. The sound of insects outside the window was peaceful.
Unfortunately, the peace didn’t last long.
“Princess, today we shall attempt a special form of training. The ordinary Ritual of Purification is utterly insufficient to drive out the power of Kinamun.”
The morning began with the repulsive whisper of a devil cloaked in an angel’s skin. Blinking my bleary eyes, I surrendered my body to him. I had already learned that resistance was futile.
He tightly bound my wrists with a soft rope and pulled them above my head, securing my restrained hands to the bedpost. I was now bound to the bed, unable to move.
His sinister touch moved to my legs. He bent my knees, pressing my shins against the inside of my thighs, and then firmly tied each leg in that position. When he gently spread my legs apart, the bound limbs splayed open like a frog’s, fully exposing my privates. In this state, any resistance was impossible.
His gaze lingered between my thighs for a long while before creeping upward. The moment our eyes met—my vision filled with his holy blue ones—he covered my eyes with a white cloth.
“Why… why are you doing this…?”
“Shhh.”
He stroked my cheek as if to soothe me. Goosebumps rose along the path of his gentle touch. His sensitive attitude was a poison meant to reassure me—a fact I had learned to dread through several experiences.
And today, he’d even blindfolded me. I had no idea what he was going to do. My heart was fluttering wildly since the early morning. A feverish heat boiled in my excited head.
“Princess, today you must not make a sound until I give you permission.”
