Chapter 17
Chapter 17
Pressed by his momentum, she almost thought maybe so, but then rebelled saying it was still ridiculous, asking where such a thing existed and that he was being arbitrary, but he shut Candice’s mouth with a single sentence.
“You just have to not make mistakes.”
It seemed correct so she couldn’t refute it, and Candice rolled her lips inward and bit them to express her unfairness. But Luke didn’t even pretend to notice.
The diligent worker was diligent even when giving punishment. After that, whenever Candice made a mistake, he thoroughly counted and kissed her. Even when she desperately tried to hide her mistakes, it was no use. He found out like a ghost.
“Candice, you messed up again, didn’t you? Come here.”
At first, it was just at the level of pressing his lips to her forehead or cheek with a smack and then pulling away. This was embarrassing, but after rubbing the spot a few times, it was fine.
But as the days went by, the level of stickiness increased. He would suck and nibble on her cheek flesh, and even when Candice struggled, asking if it wasn’t enough, he wouldn’t let go for a long while.
“Mmn, still not enough. Let me do it just a little more.”
He was the one giving punishment, but he spoke as if pleading. When he acted desperate, Candice again found it hard to push him away. Luke knew this well and acted cleverly.
One day, what seemed like a kiss on her chin went down to the nape of her neck, and then to her shoulder.
“I didn’t say where I would do it.”
When she asked why he was doing it in such a place, Luke was confident. Thanks to that, not only bruise marks but also red marks now increased on Candice’s body.
It was one day when Candice was vaguely starting to notice that it was gradually becoming something other than a “kiss.” Suddenly, Luke ended it with a kiss that brushed her forehead.
“…That’s it?”
“Did you want me to do more?”
“No. That’s not it, but…”
Usually she had to tell him to stop because he kept clinging to her. Candice let out a breath mixed with relief and regret and was surprised at herself.
To feel regret, what on earth was she hoping for?
Amidst the confusion, there were also days that passed without any contact at all because she made no mistakes. She should have been happy if she got through a day without a mistake, but this too left her feeling unsettled.
“Why, Candice?”
When she had a sulky face, Luke asked. It was unfair that he, who had made her heart complicated, was the one with a smiling face.
“You’re not doing it today?”
“Doing what?”
“…Never mind. Nothing.”
Candice thought for a moment and then shook her head. Clinging together, raising each other’s body heat, making their breaths quicken, squirming in embarrassment. She hadn’t found an answer as to what to call those acts, and it was difficult to explain something she didn’t even know the name of.
Even after saying never mind, her head remained complicated. She kept thinking of that heat, wondering how to phrase her words so that her feelings would be properly conveyed.
With her mind elsewhere, another mistake happened. She lost hold of the cup she was holding and it fell to the floor. Fortunately, it was a wooden cup so it didn’t break, but all the water inside spilled onto the floor.
Startled, she frantically wiped it with a cloth when she felt Luke approaching from behind her back.
Where is he going to kiss this time?
Candice focused her attention on her back as she wiped. It was agonizing when he did it on her cheek or forehead because it only made her heart tickle.
It would be nice if he did it on the nape of her neck, which felt the best. As she was secretly thinking such sneaky thoughts, Luke grabbed her arm.
“Candice.”
When her name was called, Candice’s heart began to pound so loudly she felt it could be heard by her own ears. Luke took hold of her and sat her down on the table. Then he indicated her thigh with his eyes.
“Can I do it here?”
“Wh, Where?”
Candice stammered. Luke rubbed the inside of her thigh with his hand and asked again.
“Here. Can I do it here?”
Candice couldn’t say it was okay right away. A kiss on the thigh. Wasn’t that a place where you had to deliberately lift up a skirt? It seemed far too embarrassing.
But she didn’t feel like refusing. She felt like she wanted to bear that embarrassment and try it. In the end, Candice squeezed her eyes shut and nodded. She absolutely couldn’t say it with her own mouth.
