Chapter 67
“I’ll tell you the method.”
Then you’ll think only about me all day too.
His long fingers brushed the fluttering golden hair behind her ear. He could feel Nita’s body tense up stiffly.
With a faint smile, Chase hooked an arm around her waist and pulled her toward him as he lowered his head. His hot breath touched her slender neck.
The moment his lips made contact, he felt Nita’s startled breath catch. Supporting the back of her neck firmly, Chase slowly ran his tongue along the nape. Her pale skin was softer than he had expected.
“Ah…”
Nita’s hand tried to push his shoulder away, but it was useless.
“W-wait, just a moment…”
As if tasting a soft, sweet peach, the tender sensation made Nita speak hurriedly through uneven breaths. Instead of stopping, Chase sucked more firmly at her skin.
A soft, pleasing moan escaped her, and her warmth-filled hand grabbed onto his head. Feeling her fingers threading through his hair, Chase found it pleasant and pressed his tongue more insistently against her neck.
He had only meant to tease her a little, but the scent of her skin was too soft. The hand gripping her waist tightened. Her moist, breathy sounds spread through the air.
His hand moved on its own, lifting her skirt. It slipped between her thighs. At the rough touch of his calloused palm and firm hand, her body tensed with a start.
But pretending not to notice, Chase brushed along her calf. Holding her waist tightly so she couldn’t move, he pressed his heated lower body closer.
After lingering at her neck for quite some time, his lips slowly moved upward. Leaving traces of light kisses as they trailed up, they eventually reached her earlobe. When he lightly bit it, her body trembled.
Sensitive.
“Ah-”
A slightly louder moan slipped out, sounding sweet.
Pushing his roughened heat into her ear, Chase ran his coarse hand along her thigh. Slowly along the outside, then gradually inward.
Damn it.
Cursing inwardly, his breathing grew heavier. Her soft, pliant skin was completely different from his. The more he touched it, the more maddeningly good it felt.
Nita was completely at a loss now.
Because of the hand moving along her inner thigh, she tried to push him away, but the fear of falling out the window made her cling tightly to his neck. She repeated this several times. Then, when Chase pressed his upper body closer and their chests touched, she flinched in shock and pulled her body away.
And again, as she lost her balance, she startled and clung to his neck.
That was so unbearably cute that Chase lightly sank his teeth into her neck, then swallowed. It was too sweet to stop.
Only when her hand tangled in his hair with more force did Chase finally pull his lips away from her slender neck. When he looked at her again, Nita had her eyes tightly shut, her cheeks flushed hot with heat.
Slowly lowering his gaze, Chase looked at her chest rising and falling unevenly and clenched his fist.
This far is enough.
Thinking that, he waited for her breathing to calm.
Her tightly shut eyelids lifted, and her moist eyes looked at him. Her lips parted several times as if she had much to say, but only one word finally came out.
“Why…?”
A hurried word thrown out before her breathing had even settled.
“I-I told you you didn’t have to tell me the method!”
Chase’s gaze as he looked at Nita shouting with a bright red face was calm and quiet.
You believed that? Is that why you endured it? How naive.
The method of imprinting had only been an excuse. He just wanted her mind to be filled with him. Since that was how it was for him, he did something like this so it would be the same for her. This way, at least for a while, he wouldn’t leave her thoughts. No matter what she did, no matter who she was with.
It was childish, but it made him feel a little better. A quiet chuckle escaped him.
Without offering any real excuse, Chase gently brushed back Nita’s hair and answered calmly.
“Then you shouldn’t have asked in the first place.”
“B-but…”
“What.”
“I said I understood the method halfway through. So I said it was fine, but why did you keep…”
Chase cut her off.
“That’s why I didn’t go all the way.”
It wasn’t wrong. Nita’s face flushed even deeper. She moved her lips as if to say something, but unable to find the words, she eventually closed her mouth.
On her pale neck remained the red marks he had left. Feeling satisfied, Chase lightly brushed his thumb over his lips and smiled. Then he wiped the dampness from her neck.
He straightened her wrinkled dress and, with a simple gesture, tidied his own jacket. After that, he helped Nita down from the window frame and, holding her hand, left the annex.
It was such a neat and composed attitude, as if he had truly only intended to explain the method of imprinting she had asked about, without any ulterior motive.
