Felice’s additional attempt at consideration was intended not to hurt Claude’s feelings, but it only seemed to bruise his pride further.
“Speak freely.”
Maintaining her professional demeanor to the very end, Felice began writing in her notebook as Claude remained silent, bowing her head slightly.
Her attitude left no room for personal emotions in the back-and-forth questioning.
Claude’s eyes narrowed slightly.
…This is all part of a teacher’s duty, isn’t it?
Claude smirked lightly, one corner of his mouth curling upward.
Meanwhile, Felice dipped her quill in ink, undeterred by his smile or silence.
Well then, I too must fulfill my role faithfully. Claude slowly leaned back.
“What happens if I say I haven’t been in a relationship because I lack confidence in bedroom matters? Does that mean I’ll need to take lessons on bedroom matters?”
Claude asked in a serious tone this time, calm as if reviewing a curriculum.
Felice paused her writing and lifted her gaze.
Claude met her green eyes with a faint smile.
“Lessons on the bedroom…”
“Oh, Miss Felice, you’re a famous relationship coach, aren’t you? That was a foolish question on my part.”
Claude quickly added before Felice could respond.
“Actually, it’s true that such lessons are part of the coaching, right?”
“…Excuse me?”
“I’ve heard that relationship coaches conduct classes on those topics, but as a man, I hesitated to take such lessons and have been refusing them. But now I can’t even refuse, can I? My mother and aunt have assigned such an excellent relationship coach to me.”
“Ah…”
Felice’s eyes, which had been calmly taking notes just moments ago, finally wavered. Seizing the moment, Claude smoothly continued,
“With lessons costing ten thousand francs, you’ll naturally be responsible for even that part, won’t you?”
“W-well…”
“Isn’t it true that everything is scary the first time? Since I was born a prince, I’ve had this obsession that I must do everything well. The bedroom matters included.”
Felice’s eyes flickered like a lantern swaying in the wind at his plausible explanation.
“…I see.”
She replied in a subdued voice. This time, the quill didn’t move. Looking down at her notebook, her eyelashes trembled.
Right. With lessons like these, she couldn’t possibly refuse.
No matter that she was currently working as a relationship coach, she was still a Lady of Barony Kelton. Even a fallen noblewoman would have been raised as a noble lady.
Until her grandfather passed, Barony Kelton held considerable status among the nobility, so such lessons would surely have been unthinkable.
“Ah… well… um…”
Felice’s voice grew quieter and quieter. Claude took a deep breath, suppressing a smile from rising as the woman lost the firmness in her tone.
Right. She probably couldn’t bring herself to teach that after all. If she said she couldn’t, what could his aunt and mother do?

“Are you feeling unwell?”
Claude asked as he watched Felice still gazing down at her notebook. Having set the stage this far, he expected an excuse about her condition and to back off.
“Ah, well… when shall we begin the lessons?”
At the moment he felt certain of his victory, the quill started moving again.
Felice’s clear face, lit by the gaslight, flickered softly in Claude’s sight.
“To conduct intimate lessons, I think it would be best if I stayed at the mansion for a while. And, Your Highness, oh, Claude, I would also need to meet with your personal physician.”
The quill moved at an incredible speed.
Claude stared at her in disbelief.
Could such lessons really exist? And this woman—
He furrowed his brow tightly.
Just then, Felice looked up from her notebook to see his expression and hurriedly added,
“Don’t worry about the physician. I’ll be discreet. All these lessons will remain a secret between Claude and me.”
