Chapter 20
Having touched his hand once, it wasn’t as bad as she’d feared.
“Now, the fingers like this…”
Felice placed his index finger just barely brushing her cheek.
“You’ve pulled as much as you wanted for this lesson’s curriculum. Now, let’s see if you have the ability to learn accordingly.”
Claude frowned, staring at her as if to say, ‘What are you talking about?’
“You’ve succeeded in sitting beside a woman you like on such a night with some whiskey. What should you say to her after reaching out like this?”
* * *
Claude twitched his finger.
Felice’s confident lead caused his head to tilt slowly.
“Claude? Silence can be a useful skill sometimes, but it’s not appropriate now.”
She warned gently and frowned slightly. Claude frowned too, mirroring her expression.
“Imagine a dark night with a full moon. Then… Your eyes shining brilliantly like the moonlight are so beautiful. Say something like that.”
Ignoring Claude’s reaction, Felice continued the lesson. Her teacher-like manner made Claude chuckle quietly.
“Oh, Claude. You think my words are childish, don’t you? But you must learn to deliver such embarrassing lines smoothly.”
Felice’s hand slid down Claude’s index finger, gently stroking her cheek.
Maintaining a tantalizing distance, just barely touching.
“Claude, your looks are objectively good, so just telling a woman she’s beautiful will please her.”
Seeing Felice’s victorious smile, Claude lightly pressed his index finger.
“…Claude?”
At a breath’s distance, Claude boldly pulled Felice close, wrapping his arms around her waist.
“I think I’m intoxicated by your beautiful eyes.”
“…What?”
Felice looked at Claude in disbelief.
Before she could escape, Claude quickly laid her down.
As she struggled to push his chest away, her heavy breaths escaped into his line of sight, and she found herself pressed against a soft sofa.
“You said I must win a woman’s heart so she can be assertive.”
Claude smiled softly, brushing her hair back.
Felice’s eyes darted wildly, but she quickly remembered her role.
“You’re impressive. To lead like this by the second lesson.”
Trying not to reveal her flustered state, Felice put on her teacher’s mask again. Her sharp eyes calmed as she stared steadily at Claude.
“Thank you for the compliment.”
Claude swallowed the smile that tried to escape.
If Claude pushed too far, she knew she’d jump back in surprise, pretending it never happened.
How long could she keep this teacher’s mask on?
“If she’s assertive, wouldn’t she kiss here? Ah… but noblewomen would let the man make the first move, right?”
Claude teased. Whether she or Claude initiated, the kiss was inevitable.
Though her expression was controlled, no sign of ease showed on Felice’s face.
“If she’s assertive…”
Her nod was hesitant. Yet refusing now was not an option—Felice raised her upper body and pressed her lips to Claude’s.
Her lips brushed his in a teasing manner, buying a moment.
That question sparked an unexpected realization in Claude.
The sweet scent, slender waist, and chest that seemed within reach whenever she moved her arm overwhelmed him suddenly.
Felice’s fingers twitched on his chest. The longer Claude hesitated to answer, the more charged the atmosphere became.
Soon, he tightened his grip around her waist.
But he must not back down before Felice decided to stop.
Claude swallowed Felice’s lips.
“…Ugh.”
