▷ Ultra☆Strong Luck Potion

“Kha!”

With a face dark as if she had packed in all the world’s worries, a completely empty beer mug went thunk! up in front of Eki.

“Miss, two more Alber Mountain beers here!”

“Yeees!”

The place was abuzz. This was Mansandro, the most famous tavern in the capital of the Kingdom of Gailard. True to its reputation as a hot spot, it was boiling with people, everyone laughing and chatting as they enjoyed the mellow buzz rising in them.

But there was just one person who could not share in the joy. That was Eki.

“Eki, sit up. You’re not already drunk, are you?”

“Are you like this after only five?”

At her friends’ call, she lifted her head from the round table. Her red red hair, barely covering the nape of her neck, shook in a tousled mess. Rolling her golden eyes, Eki looked at the mug Milla held out. Then she gripped the handle and downed it in one go.

“That’s it. Good.”

Gulp, gulp. Eki’s throat bobbed again and again. At last she set the mug down with a rough sigh, then planted her forehead back on the table.

Giyote narrowed his eyes.

“Are you going to tell us what’s going on now? You’ve been drinking for an hour without saying a word.”

“Be honest. You got kicked out of the TDT, didn’t you?”

“It’s not like that…”

“Then why did you fly all the way from the Pinon Forest to the capital? Something happened, right?”

“Is it that guy again? Cursius?”

Eki’s shoulders gave a start. She tried to protest, then reluctantly nodded.

Only after an hour had passed since entering the tavern, when they finally learned the circumstances that had led their friend to make a sudden drinking plan, the two, man and woman, let their shoulders sag.

“Ugh, it’s not like this is the first or second time. What is it this time?”

“Did that Cursius guy say he can’t stand the sight of your face?”

“Or did you mess up something?”

“But there’s no way our Eki would misuse magic…”

Amazingly, Milla and Giyote, who knew nothing of her situation, had hit the mark.

‘Cursius’ was an insulting nickname for Eki’s magic teacher, Cassius, no different from calling him ‘cur’ or ‘dog’. And ‘TDT’ was the abbreviation for the Mage Tower she belonged to, the Thousand Dog Tower, a nickname for the Thousand Tower.

As her friends said, Cur… no, Cassius did shout at her to get out of the tower because he couldn’t stand the sight of her. It was also true it was because of her mistake. And it was also true that she had not misused magic.

The one who had used it wrongly was, rather, Cassius.

“Seriously, what am I supposed to do now…”

Rubbing her flushed forehead, Eki let out a deep sigh. Milla and Giyote ground their teeth, demanding to know what on earth had happened, but she couldn’t bring herself to confess easily.

Because the reason she got kicked out… was that she had touched her master’s c**k.

‘Eki!’

That sight of the always-cold, expressionless man’s face turning crimson like a rose.

‘I can’t get it out of my mind!’

Nor could she forget the sensation in her hand. Eki looked down at her right hand and clenched it into a fist.

‘That was an elephant… No, an ancient mammoth.’

❖ ❖ ❖

Eki. Full name, Eki Provanet.

She was the only daughter of Baron Provanet and an outstanding mage.

Baron Provanet and his wife were not wealthy, but they scraped together their entire fortune to pay for their beloved daughter’s tuition, and she safely graduated from the Magic Academy and, like everyone else, picked a Mage Tower and got a job.

‘Congratulations on graduating, our daughter!’

‘You worked hard studying all this time!’

‘Now live and do everything you want!’

Unfortunately, Eki could not live doing everything she wanted. That was because the Mage Tower she entered was no different to a maligned, exploitative company with the bad reputation of being a ‘dog of a tower’.

‘Are you Eki Provanet?’

No, calling it a company was laughable. The only person working there was the Tower Master, the archmage Cassius. Employees, zero. Servants, zero. The inside of the Mage Tower was empty.

What was more, the Thousand Tower stood all alone, plunked down in a rugged forest called Pinon that nobody had ever heard of.

To visit her parents in the capital required at least ten days by carriage, and using the teleportation device consumed as many as three expensive mana stones. Even a remote mountain village would hardly be more inconvenient than this.

Eki only realized that after she entered that dogshit place.

‘From now on, what you will do is simple.’
