Chapter 34
❖ ❖ ❖
After listening to the whole story, Ikelid reacted in the most unexpected way.
“That’s simple. You just have to pour it all out!”
Both Eki and Cassius stared at him, completely blindsided.
“R-Release all… my desires?!”
“Stop talking nonsense!”
Cassius, who almost never raised his voice to anyone but Eki, snapped sharply at Ikelid.
Ah. Come to think of it, this was the first time anyone had ever come into this tower.
Eki stood frozen, thoughts scrambling in disbelief.
Regardless of their reactions, Ikelid nonchalantly wagged a finger and continued his explanation.
“Since the luck potion manifested its effect according to Miss Eki’s desires, the matter will be resolved once all of those desires are released so that luck no longer follows her.”
“And you expect me to believe that absurd reasoning?”
“Haha. But there’s no other way, is there? This isn’t a side effect or anything like that. It’s simply that Miss Eki’s desires were strong, and the luck potion realized them for her.”
“N-No, that can’t be… but…”
It should have been Eki who felt embarrassed, yet somehow Cassius was the one blushing in confusion.
“I can’t believe you didn’t reach such a simple conclusion yourself. Cassius, are you wearing that archmage title just for decoration?”
“Shut up. Do I look like the kind of man who would come to such a disgraceful conclusion?”
“You’re not even a man. …Ah, does your disciple know that?”
Cassius’s expression stiffened. He clenched his jaw around the pipe in his mouth and tilted his head slightly in a dismissive gesture. Ikelid smiled slyly and went on.
“Right. Because you’re a dragon.”
Cassius’s brows furrowed deeply. He shot a sharp glare at Ikelid and took a long pull from the pipe.
Then Ikelid suddenly clapped his hands as if a realization had struck him.
“Wait, don’t tell me. Is it because you’re a dragon that you don’t know how to release your lust?”
Cassius slammed his pipe down and growled in a low, dangerous tone, as though ready to tear Ikelid’s throat out.
“Ikelid. I told you. Shut your mouth.”
“Hahaha! So I was right. That face, I’ve never seen you make it before!”
Meanwhile, Eki could only stare blankly at the two archmages bickering in front of her.
‘Release my desires?’
It seemed it was true that the luck potion had reacted to her emotions and desires. But to solve the problem by ‘releasing’ them… What kind of logic was that?
‘Has the Association Head completely forgotten about my relationship with my Master?!’
She clutched her head in despair.
Cassius might have been an outwardly desirable man, but he was also her superior and mentor with whom she had spent many years. There was no way she could suddenly say, “Master, to suppress the effect of the luck potion, I’ll have to pounce on you,” and then strip him bare on the spot!
‘Absolutely not. Impossible.’
Eki shook her head violently, trying to banish the thought, but soon fell into serious contemplation.
‘Wait, the Association Head said to release my desires. He never said I had to do it with Master.’
If she satisfied her desires with someone else and then returned to the tower, maybe the ultra-strong luck potion would stabilize and work in a more harmless way.
‘Besides, I feel bad for constantly seeing Master in such compromising situations…’
Of course, in her mind, the image of Cassius trembling and cumming still replayed over and over like a vivid scene on loop.
To clear her head, Eki slapped her cheeks twice, then turned to the two Archmages who were still arguing.
“Alright. Then I’ll go release my desires!”
“…What?”
“Oh?”
Cassius flinched, his shoulders jerking, while Ikelid’s violet eyes gleamed with sudden interest. Cassius, realizing he was still gripping Ikelid’s collar—though he had no idea since when—let go and hurried toward Eki. He leaned in and whispered in a low voice.
“What are you saying, Eki? You don’t have to play along with that fool’s nonsense.”
“I can hear you.”
“But Master, even if it’s not exactly what I imagined, he is Association Head Lagus. We can’t just ignore his opinion when it comes to potions.”
“Not exactly what you imagined? What’s that supposed to mean about me?”
“So what, you’re planning to lower the potion’s effect by doing… that with me?”
Cassius bit his lip and clenched his fists. He tried to sound calm, but the elegant muscles of his well-built body trembled faintly in embarrassment.
Eki waved her hands quickly.
“What are you talking about! Of course not. I’ll just go out and meet someone good-looking.”
“…What?”
“My desire is simply directed toward handsome and beautiful people, so… I’ll just find a substitute, right?”
Cassius’s mouth fell slightly open.
Even Ikelid seemed caught off guard. His usually languid eyes widened before darting between Cassius and Eki. Then, unable to hold it in, he burst out laughing.
“Ahaha! Hahaha! Oh, dear. Goodness gracious. Well, that’s certainly one way to release your desires!”
“……”
