Chapter 42
When Cassius went completely still like a statue, Eki realized what she had just said and, flustered, began to stammer out an apology.
“Ah, I’m sorry. My thoughts just keep slipping out…”
Her thoughts. She’d said it herself.
Which meant even what she’d said about liking the way he smelled was genuine.
Maybe her sense of smell was strange, or maybe her tastes were just peculiar. He could have brushed it off easily, but Cassius couldn’t.
The air was already suffocatingly hot, yet now the damp heat crawled up from his legs to his lower abdomen, slow and heavy. Cassius clenched his teeth, trying to ignore the growing reaction between his legs. But his breathing grew rougher, and with it, his member began to lift its head.
Eki noticed something off about him and moved slightly to look up at his face. When Eki parted her knees slightly sideways, the bulge at the front of Cassius’s pants shifted with her.
Startled as if struck by lightning, Cassius pushed her away.
“Can’t you just stop talking and stay still for a while?”
“I-I can’t help talking. And I was staying still.”
“What do you mean still? You just moved!”
“Oh, come on, Master. That wasn’t moving, I just twitched a little!”
“It’s the same thing. Stop twitching. Don’t move. Stay like a rock!”
Cassius hadn’t known he was capable of saying something so childish.
Eki seemed equally shocked, her mouth falling open.
“Good grief. How can I? I was already trying so hard to stay quiet so I wouldn’t bother you!”
“Quiet? You’ve done nothing but bother me!”
“What did I even do?!”
“You kept sniffing me!”
“T-That’s— I’m sorry! But I barely breathed, and I stayed still, so why are you so— Oh…”
Her words trailed off. Her golden eyes widened, round and glowing like a full moon.
Cassius felt his heart drop to his stomach. He followed her gaze downward.
When her eyes finally landed on what had caught her attention, Cassius’s hands clenched so tightly that the veins bulged across the backs of them.
Damn it all.
“M-Master? What is that?”
“……”
“Is it… standing?”
Unfortunately, because of the potion, Eki voiced the mortifying truth without the slightest hesitation.
Cassius swallowed down the furious growl rising in his throat, imagining his head about to be chopped off instead.
The heat coursing through him felt like molten metal. Eki quickly backed away until the wardrobe rattled behind her.
“Wh, What? Wait, is this because of me?”
“…Be quiet.”
“It is, isn’t it? Oh my goodness.”
Even though she’d pulled back as far as she could, the confined space meant Cassius’s half-e***t c**k still pressed pitifully against her thigh through their clothes.
The unfamiliar contact made Eki’s face flare crimson, and she yelped, covering her cheeks with both hands.
“You can’t just… do that in here!”
“You think I want to?!”
“I heard dragons have low desire! Why are you so sensitive?!”
He hadn’t expected to hear the word ‘sensitive’ used against him again, especially not like this.
Cassius finally lost his composure and shouted, veins standing out on his neck.
“Dragons don’t lack desire! We simply have less need to reproduce!”
“…Isn’t that the same thing?”
“It’s not! Damn it!”
The glowing magic circles floating in the air all flickered out.
Their caster’s loss of focus had broken their flow.
Cassius scrubbed his flushed face roughly with his hand and groaned.
“That’s why I told you… just stay still…”
He hadn’t realized he was such a lust-driven man. That his c**k would react just from brushing against Eki, of all people.
To think that even while in the middle of analyzing magic, he could be distracted… this was a first.
Eki blinked, confused.
“Then… it’s not because of the luck potion?”
“…No.”
“Then… it’s not because you like slimes?”
“What are you even saying now?”
Eki’s mouth hung open slightly. Who knew what kind of thoughts were going through that small head of hers.
‘This is maddening.’
Either way, the problem was that his c**k was clearly and undeniably e***t, and the two of them were still going to be trapped in here for another hour.
