Chapter 55
“But my master doesn’t like stupid people. Would that be a problem?”
“You know, your master’s probably the only person alive who could call someone who ranked in the academy’s top ten every year an idiot.”
“…Really?”
“Anyway, so you’ve made up your mind, right? You’re really going to move things forward with Cursi— Uh, I mean, with Lord Cassius?”
“Hmm.”
Eki set her beer glass down and fidgeted with her fingers.
She had already touched him many times. Just watching Cassius’s body move had made her stomach twist with electric tension again and again. But she had held herself back, because simply touching him had given her enough satisfaction on its own.
Eki loved seeing his beautiful face contort, his pale cheeks flush the color of roses. She wanted to touch not only there, but also his chest, his hips, his whole body.
Still, taking the next step wasn’t easy. Once, under the influence of the truth potion, she had blurted out that desire, and Cassius had nearly leapt out of his skin and fled the room.
Of course, his body had betrayed him instantly. Anyone who saw him would have thought it was Cassius Junior who’d taken the truth potion instead.
‘But… even if we manage to set the mood somehow, how would I even fit his thing inside me?’
Cassius’s c**k, as she knew, grew scales when he was extremely aroused. Unlike a real reptile’s, they weren’t sharp or hard… but the thought of that thing entering her body still made her feel a bit uneasy.
‘Would we even be able to have s*x at all?’
Come to think of it, she had never read a single record of dragons mating with other races. They were known for their closed culture, choosing only their own kind as partners.
‘Was that because of the scaled protrusions?’
Who knew? Maybe a female dragon’s body was literally built like stone, or else there’d be no way to take something like that inside her.
Before long, Eki’s face had gone pale.
“Milla, there’s one problem.”
“What is it?”
“I… don’t know how to do it with my master.”
“Huh?”
“There’s a… physical issue with his body.”
“…Wait, is he… impotent?”
“What? No way!”
Quite the opposite. Too opposite, in fact. He was so vigorous that even after finishing three or four times, he could be ready again in a matter of minutes.
Eki barely managed to stop herself from shouting that aloud and shook her head instead.
‘I can’t go into detail. It’d be too humiliating for him.’
She took a long gulp of beer and held her head in her hands.
“Anyway, normal… intercourse isn’t possible. I don’t think I can handle it.”
“Hm…”
Milla’s eyes narrowed thoughtfully. If Giyote had been there, he’d probably have shouted, “Eki! You can’t ask for advice and then not say what the problem is!” But the gentle Milla just thought for a moment, then gave a sly smile and beckoned her closer.
“Then do you want me to tell you another way?”
“Another way?”
“There’s more than one way for a man and a woman to connect.”
As Milla spoke, her full lips curved in a strangely seductive line.
Eki blinked, completely confused, and leaned in to listen. A moment later, she learned something she had never expected. Something truly shocking.
❖ ❖ ❖
Without Eki, the Thousand Dog Tower was quiet.
Cassius sat in the small study adjoining his bedroom, reading a magic tome he had already gone through a dozen times. It was one of his favorites, one he never tired of, but tonight he couldn’t concentrate.
He turned his head toward the window and saw, in the distance, a figure with red hair glowing faintly under the dusk light, hurrying toward the tower.
‘She said she was eating out tonight… is she only getting back now?’
The clock read 10 p.m. Not only was it late, but it was almost too late to safely use a teleportation device.
‘If she missed the teleportation window, was she planning to stay out overnight again?’
It wouldn’t be the first time. Whenever Eki went to see her friends in the capital—Milla and Giyote, if he recalled correctly—she sometimes came back the next morning.
Cassius’s pale green eyes narrowed slightly. He wanted to go down there immediately and scold her, but he’d made a promise to himself not to interfere with his disciple once work hours were over. So he restrained himself.
‘She’s probably exhausted after the day she’s had. No point adding to her stress.’
But what about his stress, which had been steadily building while he waited for her until this hour?
His foot tapped the floor in an unsteady rhythm. Finally, he stood up from the sofa, slid the book back onto the shelf, and walked toward the door.
