Chapter 95
“What.”
“My hair’s really short, right?”
“It’s on the short side, yes.”
“Do you see this part sticking out? This is where you cut it last time because it got caught on your button.”
Cassius silently opened and closed his mouth. He clenched his jaw hard enough for the muscles to rise, then muttered an apology.
“That was… my mistake.”
“It’s fine. I tried evening out the length, but it would’ve gotten way too short.”
He listened quietly as Eki spoke. Then she got to the point.
“Should I just cut it again? Or should I grow it out instead?”
“Grow it out? You’ve never grown it before.”
“I didn’t because short hair is easier.”
“Then just cut it.”
“Master, do you prefer short hair or long hair?”
Cassius’s hand, which had been combing inside her red hair, froze. After a short silence, he asked.
“Does my opinion matter? What you’re comfortable with should come first.”
“Tch.”
“What now, ‘tch’.”
“I asked what you liked.”
“I don’t have a preference.”
“Then why did you grow your hair long?”
“This is just how it was since birth…”
Eki lifted a handful of his long white hair that draped down his back. When she set it on her palm, it slipped through her fingers like silver threads spun from clouds.
“But when did you dry your hair? And you changed clothes too.”
“I fixed myself up while you were changing.”
“Ah…”
Silence fell between them. Eki played with Cassius’s hair while he focused on drying her damp one. But both of them were replaying what had happened moments ago.
Cassius falling into the bath. Eki catching him. Her body completely exposed. And on top of that, they kissed in that state. Even though she pretended to be calm, Eki’s heart had been pounding like a drum.
As her face gradually flushed like a blooming red rose, Cassius noticed first. He hurriedly stepped back.
“This is enough.”
“Already dry?”
“Yes. Now lie down.”
Before Eki could react, she was pushed onto the bed. When Cassius tried to stand up, she quickly grabbed his sleeve. Thankfully, it didn’t tear this time. Instead, he toppled right onto her.
“Eki!”
He scrambled with a shocked expression, bracing himself on the bed. Then he realized that the tip of his still-hard member had pressed against Eki’s lower belly. Not only Cassius but Eki also widened her eyes.
“Let go.”
“You lie down too.”
“I… I’m not sleeping.”
“I’m not sleeping either.”
“What are you talking about.”
“You said you’d take care of it earlier.”
Eki swallowed. She slowly lifted her knee and nudged his crotch.
“This… needs to be resolved.”
Cassius stopped breathing. His waist jerked. His hands clenched tightly as if enduring something, and his pale green eyes rapidly swept over Eki’s face, her neck, then lower. Anyone could see he was a man in heat.
“And to make more fairies, I need to fulfill my dream.”
But at that, Cassius snapped out of it as if doused with cold water.
“I already said no to that.”
“F-Fine. If you’re scared of the d***o, I won’t use it.”
“That’s not the problem. I…”
He hesitated, then carefully lifted his upper body. Something in the air had changed. Eki sat up, puzzled.
“What’s wrong?”
“I… don’t have to leave this tower.”
“…Huh?”
“I mean it. You don’t have to force yourself to follow Ikelid’s words.”
What was he even saying?
He didn’t have to leave the tower? After being trapped here for 380 years?
“Don’t say things like that. I really won’t use the d***o.”
“Damn it, that’s not why. I truly don’t need to go.”
“But you’ll be stuck for another ten years.”
“Ten years goes by quickly.”
“You said earlier it doesn’t for me. Wouldn’t it be nice to go outside together, see flowers, go to Ma Mansandro, try a good restaurant!”
“Do you… think I’m your friend?”
Unbelievable. She was basically confessing her feelings, and the reply she got was Do you think I’m your friend? That was cruel.
Eki glared at Cassius with tear-filled eyes. He flinched and grew restless.
“Why are you crying again? What’s with you today?”
“You really don’t understand my feelings, do you?”
“What are you talking about. I’ve lived with you for seven years. Who would know you better than me?”
“My friends knew me at least that well too.”
“……”
The conversation was becoming childish. Eki pouted as she felt Cassius wiping her tear-streaked cheek.
“Master, have you never been on a date before?”
