Chapter 4
As she walked away from what used to be her home, she raised her middle finger towards it. She had spent five or six years with that gang, a long time by any measure.
She knew that if they caught her now, the leader wouldn’t let her off easily. At the very least, she would have to be prepared for both her ankles to be broken.
Still, the gang leader seemed to genuinely believe that she would never leave him. After all, for five or six years, she had acted like an obedient lamb without ever attempting to escape.
That had been a smart move. By never making an escape attempt before, she ensured that when the perfect opportunity finally came, she could run away without raising suspicion.
There had been only one large-scale escape attempt during the time the current leader had been in charge, and security had been tightened since then. Yet, they never assigned extra guards to Liv because she had always behaved so obediently.
But it took just one day for that obedient lamb to completely change her coat.
‘Ha! What a load of bull. If you’re saying you won’t let me go if I get caught… then I just won’t get caught!’
Liv had secretly climbed onto a passing ox cart, hiding within the hay, and as the leader’s city grew more distant, she stuck out her tongue, flipped her eyelids, and shot double middle fingers in its direction.
Trust? Worthless. That bastard never hesitated to raise his bat even against the people he supposedly trusted. Even though he treated her relatively better compared to others, she didn’t want to keep living by being beaten, starving, and enduring his tantrums.
‘From now on, I’m going to carve out my own life.’
Liv continued to wander, moving from village to village. But it seemed that only trash remained in this world.
Perhaps only the worst of humanity—those who killed and betrayed others—had managed to survive.
She was swindled several times and almost became a victim of human trafficking. Once, she nearly died after being lured into a laboratory that promised sacks of food in exchange for ‘body samples’ like hair and nails.
‘Body parts, my a*s! How the hell are lungs and hearts just spare body parts? That’s the whole damn body!’
Liv barely escaped, still dressed in a lab coat, and secretly set fire to the building before fleeing. Those scumbags had claimed they didn’t do animal testing, calling it ‘ethical experimentation’, but they were actually doing human experiments. Liv spat on the ground before hopping onto another ox cart.
After wandering for about a month, she finally found a seemingly decent group. They promised as much food and lodging as she wanted in exchange for a little labor. Starving and desperate, she fell for it.
In hindsight, she should have never listened to anything religious fanatics said, but hunger had clouded her judgment. That’s how she ended up joining a cult.
‘But how was I supposed to know? Who knew that ‘a little labor’ meant sucking d**k again.’
Those cult bastards called a fat, bald guy with a p***s the size of a Chupa Chups ‘The Holy One’ and ordered her to serve him.
‘Do these d*ckheads think about anything besides sticking their d***s into something?’
She bit his d**k out of spite, and they beat her like a dog, then threw her into solitary confinement as punishment. They seemed to believe that she would change her mind eventually, providing her with water but not a single bowl of watery bean porridge, starving her until she grew weak and thin. That was just a week ago.
“T-T-The Butcher Machete is here!”
“Aaaaaaah! My hand, my haaand! Someone, stop the grinder— AAAAAGH!!”
“P-Please spare me… ugh, urgh…”
The cultists—who treated their slaves like trash—were brutally slaughtered by the very slaves and the butcher. The offerings the cult had painstakingly gathered now belonged to the butcher, while their corpses, with no one to clean them up, would soon rot with maggots.
